Division 16 installed electrical work in our home when it was built. We have had electrical problems since we moved in a few years ago. They have been here to service our electrical issues but never fully resolved them. The most recent time they were here, they disconnected electricity to the front of our yard and we now have no lighting at night in front of her home. They will not respond to phone calls or emails. They have sent us a bill and have not responded to inquiries about the bill or if they would ever fix our electrical problems. They say things are out of warranty even though this was a problem since the house was built. But we have not heard back from them since they cut the line to the front of our home

We purchased a brand new fan from a reputable company and scheduled Division 16 to install it. It was still in the box when the service technician arrived. He couldn't read the instruction manual in English and could not speak English. He attempted to install the fan for over 6 1/2 hours, and still couldn't get it to work. Put it on the ceiling and took it down at least 5 times. Also back and forth with the electrical wall outlet. Couldn't get the fan to work. He then began banging on it, hitting it hard with his hands and said he had to leave for the day. Then we found out that he damaged the motor of the $407 fan and it's ruined. A new replacement fan now costs over $617. They will not stand behind their work, and now tell us they weren't even qualified to work on that type of installation. They refuse to cover any costs associated with the fan they ruined. They need to pay for replacing the fan they ruined. My husband and I witnessed the entire event and are traumatized and out all the money plus still don't have a fan that operates. Horrible business who won't stand behind their work.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/03/01) */ We did install an owner supplied Fan; however, the fan was defective from the factory. We have offered to reinstall a new fan if the customer wished to return the one they received. As for all the derogatory comments about our services tech, I believe they have overstated the events that occurred. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/03/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Response is untrue and a misrepresentation of the events which we experienced first hand. There is NO overstatement. We doubt whether the technician is a certified electrician as he couldn't attend to the simplest of tasks, let alone be qualified to install a fan. We also believe he may be an illegal, as he could not speak a word of English. The company should be looked into for that also. The fan WAS NOT defective from the factory, and is a top of the line purchase from a very reputable company. All of the fault lies with Division 16. In fact, the fan actually ran a couple of times, but when the technician kept banging on it, taking it up and down, and apart several times, it no longer did. We finally kicked this yahoo out of our house before he damaged something else. Division 16 is the only party with responsibility, not the fan company or the homeowner. Buyer beware-never have this company do any electrical work for you!
