Security Electric of SW FL, Inc. has been in business for over 26 years serving SW Florida and our mission is to leave each customer satisfied with our workmanship, but in this case, we failed to deliver that for Mrs. ***** by her standards.

I assume I am receiving a check from Security Electric for the noted $127.99.
When the check arrives, which is has not as of today, I will consider the matter closed.
To be clear about my standards of customer service, here is what I would expect from a good company:
1. Security Electric should have notified the customers of the involved meters once they realized their error and corrected it. This was not done. I spent over a month trying to find out why my bill was so high never considering a company hired to do work had mixed up the meters when replacing.Until their above response, I had not idea it was 2 meters and not 4 meters involved in the error.
2. At the time, they should have taken immediate responsibility for their error and offered to pay the difference. Instead they told me to contact my neighbor--people I had never met--and ask them for money. My neighbor did not make the mistake nor were they paid to do accurate work and it is not their responsibility to pay for Security Electric's mistakes. It took a complaint to the BBB of Florida to get immediate action. This should not have been necessary if a company has good customer service and standards.
Thanks again to the Florida BBB. I will let you know when I receive my reimbursement from Security Electric.
