H2O911 Restorations was hired by Latitude 26 Builders to treat the excessive mold and mildew infestation on our new house trusses under construction.
This company used a product called Serum 1000. We were told repeatedly that this product would not cause damage to any existing newly installed materials, such as wiring, AC duct work, plumbing, etc.
After H2O911 Restorations used Serum 1000 and sprayed all of the trusses and everything else, there was a distinctive visual "foaming" on most of everything metal and galvanized.
I contacted Rudy *** (Project Manager for H2O911 Restoration) regarding my concerns. He responded and stated they would come back and clean things better. It was obvious that the original application crew failed to use any protective measures to cover anything up prior to spraying the Serum 1000 chemicals, contaminating all the newly installed materials from all three trades, the electrician, the AC company and the plumber.
Rudy *** and another employee (Anna) did come back and wiped off everything that was within reach, mostly the lighting, AC ducts and galvanized walls. They did not wipe off the nails, screws, bolts, hurricane straps or truss gussets. Some of the copper electrical wiring was exposed to the Serum 1000 chemicals as many outlets, switches, etc. had exposed stripped copper wires. After they had finished wiping off the Serum 1000 residue it was visually obvious that the chemicals caused damage. It appeared to be some type of corrosion, especially on the lights, AC ducts and galvanized wall studs. Rudy *** stated the chemicals caused "pitting". Anna stated that this was the companies first time using Serum 1000 and it was a new product only being out for about six months.
After a few weeks, our superintendent #4 had removed some ceiling insulation to pinpoint one of the 17 leaks in our new roof. This revealed rusting nails and bolts that secured the actual trusses to a concrete wall supporting the entire truss section for the lower bedroom.
We are completely disgusted with these conditions and circumstances. We have serious concerns that Serum 1000 has possibly compromised the integrity of our trusses.
We would never recommend this company or this product.

We were hired by Latitude Builders to remediate some moldy trusses. We researched products and found a product named serum 1000. We research the product through SDS sheets along with the distributor and the maker of the product. All these people had informed us, along with SDS sheets, that this is a non-corrosive product and is safe on all materials. We then sent the SDS sheet to Latitude Builders and Owner and they approved the product to be applied.

After product was applied there was a crystallization on the metal surfaces when completed. It was brought to our teams attention and we immediately responded and cleaned all these areas.

After cleaning, the owner had noticed that there was no zinc finish anymore and was not happy. So we spoke to the maker of the product and he emphasize to us that this is non-corrosive and has not affect the integrity of the material. There was a reaction to the finish on the material and took the shine off of it.
Homeowner was still not happy with the results and hired their own engineer that basically stated the same thing. Homeowner was still not happy so we met with everybody on site and he wanted all these items replaced.

In conclusion, we do stand behind everything we do and we still stood behind the product we applied. We replaced all the finishes that the homeowner wanted us to replace; and did not charge for this work.
As a company we feel that we accommodated all client requests per our meeting and are unsure why he felt he needed to write this review.
