I was charged a renewal fee of $51.94 on August 1st 2024. I fulfilled my yearly contract with Planet F. This buisness has already got hundreds of dollars out of me for a service at a location in not comfertable being at. I let them know this was a mistake and I don't want to be forced into another yearly contract and they refuse to assist me. They haven't refunded my money and have sent me in circles for weeks promising a call back and resolution that hasn't happened. This is ridiculous. The fact that I allready fulfilled my contract should be enough. Me informing this buisness there was a mistake and I'm saying no should be enough.Initial Complaint

I have completed the process of canceling my membership on several occasions and I am still getting charged monthly fees. Every time I speak to someone at ****** fitness they assure me it has been taken care of. They have even sent me documents stating membership was canceled. I have also gone into the branch to cancel in person and signed there key pad acknowledging cancelation. dear *********************************:Attached you will find a copy of your document. At this point this is credit card fraud and fraudulent misleading business practices on planet fitness part. I have spent countless hours trying to resolve this issue with Planet fitness. I am asking the BBB to try and help me get a final resolution on this issue. I would like my membership canceled, a refund of ****** , a credit of ***** ( that I had to pay for stop payment), I would also ask that I am compensated ****** for the amount of time I have put in trying to fight this fraudulent company.Business response

This is never the experience that we want for any of our members. For the described situation our Regional Manager has canceled the members membership and has called our credit card processing company directly and requested to have the funds refunded as soon as possible. Further, he has spoken to the member in an effort to ensure the member is satisfied!Initial Complaint

I have requested multiple times for my account to be closed. I have called the location and was told it would be cancelled and it wasn't. Then they were still charging me. I called again and was told that the manager would call me and no one ever called. I have been charged every month for over a year and have never once stepped foot into a Planet Fitness. It's my fault for falling for the trial and then getting stuck paying someone to take my money. Why take someone's money, promise to cancel and not cancel and continue to take my money. That's just wrong. Please just refund my money. I messed up by signing up to a contract. Never again and I'll make sure I tell everyone about this trap. It's not fair. Please refund the money due to me and Stop charging me. Please.
