We engaged Williams Family Moving in Dec., 2021 to box personal belongings & move furniture from one property to another in the same neighborhood They completed the boxing of the personal belongings on Dec.15th-17th. The move was scheduled to be done Dec. 28-30th, however my wife fell fracturing her ankle on the morn of Dec 24, requiring surgery on the 28th.. I called & re-scheduled the move to Jan 7, 8 & 10th. They began the move but didn't completely finish on the 10th (issue #1a). They left my property after 7pm, in the dark, & said they couldn't return until mid-February. They relented & agreed to come the next day w/no time commitment; with the uncertainty I hired someone else to finish the job (issue #1b). They did damage to several pieces of furntiure; artwork; walls; wallpaper & baseboards/moldings. Each of these damaged items/areas were pointed out to a representative of the company (his son) & pictures were taken to verify the damage (issue #2). The owner, Elijah W., told us, before we hired his firm, he would be present for our entire move & he was not (issue #3). When I wrote to the owner on Jan 16th, 2022 asking for a time to discuss resolution of the outstanding & damaged items, he remarked we would simply follow his contract. He never provided us a copy of the contract (even though we requested it previous to him starting the work) nor has he provided copies of paid bills (issues #4 &5). We exchanged several emails on Jan 16th; he then placed a phone call to my wife's cell phone using profanity, racist comments (called her a "cracker"), threatening her & making disparaging comments about me (issue #6). It is now Tues Jan 18th, & I haven't heard from him how to resolve the damages to my property,furniture & art (issue #7). Further, I believe there are missing personal items (issue # 8). Finally, I am now concerned for our safety & further damage to our property. Pls advise us how you can assist us in resolving this with this company/individual.Business response
