This is the most amazing company I have ever worked with. I had a water pipe blow apart in my house. I contacted 3 companies and only Next Plumbing answered. **** was the plumber and he arrived at my home in less than 30 minutes. He was professional, courteous and priced very fair. not only did he fix my water pipes at a very late hour, but he also stayed late to help me clean up all the mess that the water caused. This is by far the best company I have ever worked with; I am so grateful for all they did for me and my family.

My lateness in filing this complaint is due to making sure that all the damages in my house were completed. In January 2023 I called Next Plumbing to fix a leak in a toilet also wanted to change out a shower head and trim plate. Next Plumbing came they tried to charge me a $168 diagnostic fee which was never discussed in the scheduling. Told the plumber no and he very nastily said I would be contacted by the office to pay the fee. The OM Nick called me and begged me to let them come out and do the job. I should have listened to my gut. Leak was fixed but issues with shower. Nick took off shower head and trim and discovered what I had would not work. Told me what to buy, I purchased sent him pictures and he ok’d. Sent another plumber out who needed more parts, broke something off in valve could not find replacement. Fine just put old parts back on was what I wanted at that point. Nick said he threw them out. Owner George offered to come cut out wall and replace valve at no cost to me. I had to agree as I had no use of shower. Jan 28 Nick and another plumber came, replaced, fixed hole. Took a shower at 7, by 9 my whole house was flooded. Called Next Plumbing screaming they needed to get here. Nick walked in door and immediately stated it was not their fault. I was not a very nice person then. They cut the pipe in 3 places and above one of the pipes was another connector that they apparently loosened when working. All they came with was a broken shop vac and a couple of towels. They would not leave me the faulty pieces, I even had to call the police on them. Next day a new plumber came out and stated a simple fix would have been to do a wet test which they did not do. He even showed me where the trim plate and shower head did not meet the wall. Yes Next Plumbing then sue me in Small Claims for their clean up that night in the amount of approximately $1200. I will admit I did not know how Court was handled here and was ill prepared so they were awarded about $110.

This is in response to Ms. ****, but intended for anyone reading this response. She is stating factual events in most of this, however, not all.
We were in fact called out for leak in the guest bathroom. Our plumber did request to perform a diagnostic, with a charge of $168, to locate the leak. He should not have, as it was a visible leak from the toilet water supply. We were wrong. I received a call that our customer was unhappy and I immediately reached out remedy the situation. I waived the trip fee and asked if I could come to her home. She agreed and I left my office at once. I apologized for the inconvenience and made the necessary repairs to which she agreed. The shower trim she provided did not fit. We went to every plumbing supply house in Lee county looking for trim that would work with her existing system. We were unsuccessful as her valve was discontinued. I’ll admit, we were in the wrong and wanted to make it right by our customer. In order to make the situation right, we offered to replace the valve and trim at no cost in which she agreed. Which involves removing drywall, in which we also replaced, and intended to return an additional time to paint.  We returned the following day and made the repairs. I received a call around 9:15pm the same evening that there was a leak in her home. I was able to arrive on site within minutes. I immediately began extracting water with a shop vac and towels. I did not bring any additional equipment to extract water as I was returning home from an emergency call and went straight to the leak. I found that the repairs made earlier in the day were intact. The part of the system that was leaking was nothing that was performed by Next Plumbing, but rather someone that had previously worked on the system. Two dissimilar pipes were previously conjoined incorrectly within the wall far above the work we performed, and out of sight. If it were something we were aware of, we would have made the repair immediately. I called a water restoration company, with the approval of Ms. ****, to extract the water and minimize damage as we continued to extract water until their arrival. When attempting to explain the purpose of the leak to Ms. ****, I was met with constant profanity. I remained respectful the entire time, despite the barrage of inappropriate verbiage, as I understand the emotion she was feeling. When I was told the police were called, I patiently waited outside the home in my truck, explained the situation to the officer and he was in complete agreeance. We did attempt to collect on the services performed that evening, not the repair. We did end up going to court and were awarded judgement by the county judge. We did test our work and provided photos to prove we were not at fault and tested the system. The case number is **********. The facts and evidence are all filed with the clerk and are public record.

      Thank you kindly,

I have a service contract with Next Plumbing but called them for service outside the scheduled maintenance to diagnose and fix an intermittent problem. They were able to diagnose and replace fixtures as needed (included with my service contract) to fix the problem. In addition, while here, they tirelessly diagnosed another problem and provided the service that fixed that problem as well. All around excellent service.

I have a service contract with Next Plumbing which includes maintenance visits. **** called me to tell me he was on the way. He arrived on time and is professional and personable. He completed the service and hot water heater flush and was careful in what he did and cleaned up which was appreciated. He also checked a concern I had with the shower trim and answered my questions. I highly recommend Next Plumbing and ****.

***** was prompt, courteous, sensitive to my needs, did an excellent job with attention to detail and made sure he left the work area like he found it. The installed price for new fixtures was presented up front and the response time from my initial contact to completed work was just over 24 hours. I felt the price was very reasonable for the work performed and the response time greatly exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Next Plumbing.

Alex R. of Next Plumbing was professional, proficient and polite. He went out of his way to get the necessary parts to repair our leaky valve and make sure everything was working just the way it was intended before he left. Based on this experience, we will definitely call on Next for any future plumbing issues.

They replaced both of my toilets 3 years ago. Service was good, but $1200.00 for 2 toilets seems high. Yes that included removal of old toilets but really? A flange was repaired "secure and tight to ground" Now 3 years later there is water all over my bathroom floor. Very poor work. I called them and they will not stand by the problem unless they charge me $$350. This problem should not happen after just 3 years.

      NEXT Plumbing Response

      04/13/2022

Next Plumbing offers the longest warranty on our parts and labor in the State of Florida at 1 year. The manufacturer of the toilets, Toto, also provides a 1 year warranty. I challenge you to find a company that will exceed our warranty. We stand by our work 100% within reason. Being two years outside of warranty is not a reasonable amount of time. Without physically looking at the toilet to diagnose the issue (which you declined) I cannot state the cause of the leak. The most common cause of leaks from the base of the toilet are people using plungers to clear a blockage, which in turn blows out the seal between the flange and toilet. You were provided with pricing up front which you agreed to prior to us having performed any work. If you were not happy with the pricing or the work, why wait three years to bring it up, or even move forward with the work at all? The price of $350 was never given to you, as we do not provide any pricing over the phone aside from a trip fee to come out.
