      I applied for a property with Zivcovik on Monday 10/04, I dropped off a $500 hold deposit for the property. I was also told it would take 1 to 3 days for the process to complete. I just received a denial email with no explanation other than, "you will receive a letter explaining " on 10/14/2021. I called the office and no response from the property manager. The property was still on the site as available and applications were still being received on a regular basis in which per the website it stated. " We do not take multiple application fees and waste your time or money". As seen in the supported document uploaded.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/18) */ Mrs. ****** was not truthful or omitted items from her past in the conversation with the rental agent at the property. She went through the same screening that all our applicants go through and she did not qualify. She will receive her 'hold' deposit back less the application fee unless the fee was paid another way. This is normal procedure. Our qualifications can be found in writing on most advertisements to avoid situations like this. Some applicants might believe we don't actually check backgrounds. Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2021/10/19) */ After further research Ms. ****** has already picked up her deposit from our office on 10/15/21. So this has been resolved. I'm not sure why she filed a complaint. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2021/10/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I am requesting a refund of my $50 application fee due to false information provided on the website as I uploaded in my initial complaint. As a business you should be aware of what is put on your website as well as all your employer's and should abide by it Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2021/10/22) */ I requested as to what the qualifications were as I spoke with someone prior to even applying nothing that came back on my credit or background check should have prevented me from being approved. I do my research prior to applying with any company so to say I wasn't being truthful is a complete lie as well being that I explained everything that I had and didn't have and not once was I told that I would not qualify not only that your website specifically states you will not take multiple applications in which you took several even after I submitted a hold deposit well over half the requested amount. I was also told " you are one of the applicants that qualify for this property" . Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2021/10/26) */ Ms ****** applied knowing the qualifications, gave false information to the rental agent she spoke with, and we ran her application. Had she given truthful information she would have been advised not to apply. Instead she wasted her time and money and our time as well. She continues to do so with this complaint. We have refunded her hold deposit as I mentioned previously stated. We have no further action to take. I appreciate the BBB's options to respond here. Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2021/10/26) */ In addition to my previous email Ms. ****** clicked specifically the field in the application that explained her application fee was non-refundable. Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2021/10/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) At this point I would hope that all your phone calls are recorded so you will be able to review them and see that I made the agent well aware as long as a receptionist as to what was on my credit mind you your agent almost never answered the phone and couldn't even recall speaking to me when I advised her I spoke to her earlier that day nobody's denying that I clicked the box but what you're denying right now is everything on your website that you do not waste time nor do you take multiple applications all you did was take multiple applications and waste my time and money along with several other you can't abide by your own rules why would you expect somebody to still stand by your nonrefundable fee when all you did was lie on your website. If your website didn't say what it said we wouldn't even be dealing with this complaint right now. It's sad you can't even admit to your wrong doing within your company. I'm sure I'm not the only one you've done this to.
