      Hired L&V roofing to replace damaged tile roof with steel roofing. On the north side (which is the first side they started) I noticed that the roof was not laying flat on the roof and called owner ******. **** came out and said there was nothing they could do that it was a support problem. Total lie. Panels are not laying flat. Then there was the valley problem. They did not cut the roofing panels evenly going into the valleys. I called again. So they cut the panel after they were installed by hand and all the edges are jagged..L&V employees were careless with the panels and put scratches in every panelsetting me up for ***** panels in the near future. I am not exaggerating, every panel has scratches in them. I have the pictures to prove it. There are areas where the pieces dont fit together and they have put in glue to seal it up I hired a licensed home inspector and had 3 other roofers out to see if we could repair and save the work that L&V roofing did. The inspector said it was the poorest quality work he had ever seen. I have his report if needed. All the roofers have the same commentsif that roof isnt leaking now it will be in the near future. And the solution!!! Tear off the roof and start over I paid for a quality job not a hack job with near future problems..I want all my money returned and will be going to court if this is not resolved

      Respectfully, it has been very difficult to come into an agreement and to resolve this matter with you, due to the fact that you have not been available since you do not reside here permanently. For the moments you were here and witnessed, there was never a complaint or issue that wasnt handled professionally and respectfully in a timely-manner. We waited to meet at your property after the work had been completely finished and permit was officially closed in order to go over your concerns, which were based off of your neighbor, as you mentioned. 
      I will provide this response in sections based on your complaint and our experience with you and how you have decided to proceed with this matter- as brief and descriptive as possible. 

      The total project cost was $51,785.00. This price included permitting, the tear-off of your existing tile roof system, the material for the dry-in portion of the roof, the dry-in, the new installation material (5v 26ga Copper Metal Roof panels), and the install. 
      This is in agreement to our contract (brief).

      In order to begin work and order all materials that will be needed throughout the roof stages you were required to provide an initial payment, which was given in the amount of $18,785.00 as per contract. The contract at the time of signing was divided in a 3 part payment schedule. The second payment which was never received, was to be provided upon the material arrival to job site, and the final payment due at time of project completion. 

      All material was ordered and work began on your roof, until your roof was completely installed and all inspections were passed by the building department. We informed you of the total amount due, which included the past due charges and currently due (final payment). You sent complete payment by mail, you speak with whoever you spoke with (neighbor), you then decided to cancel our payment and at that point we wait for your return back to ******* to resolve your concerns. 

      During the wait on your arrival, thunderstorms/windstorms start coming in, and eventually hurricane ****** hit and no leaking inside of home, or complaints by you of ceiling damage & still no complaints as of today.  

      Before meeting with you, you state you had an inspection done to your roof, we asked to provide report, you did not, and then you state- youve also had multiple roof companies inspect your roof as well.
      We have pictures from you with someone on the roof and that will cause damage to the metal panels by continuously getting on the roof.  (Informational)

      L&V Roofing arranged a meeting to meet with you and the metal manufacturer to go over your complaints, regarding proper installation and all the other issues you stated at the time- manufacturer states installation is properly installed. Then you begin to argue with the metal manufacturer regarding the placement of the fasteners.
      After the meeting with metal manufacturer you stated you did not want L&V Roofing to do anything or fix anything concerning your roof, which by determination are not results of improper installation. L&V Roofing is and has been willing to cooperate and fix any of your concerns but we can not do anything if you do not want us on your property.

      In return, you have threatened us by stating you will bash us all over the internet if we do not return your payment, and gave L&V Roofing a timeframe in order to provide you a refund. Since we did not provide you with a refund, you started doing what you said you would. L&V Roofing has only been trying to resolve the issue in a professional and respectful manner, which in return- you refuse.

      We will not be providing a refund for this reason, the initial payment you provided L&V Roofing does not cover, not even, 1/4 of the total expenses that we have had to put in to cover labor, materials, company costs, expenses and etc. 

      We are sadden with this unfortunate situation and are still willing to work with you in order to resolve your concerns.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      1 L&V has never asked for the inspection from the home inspector but does have some of the pictures that was taken with a drone.  
      2. There is definitely leaking as the panels are not flush to the roof, there are screws missing with the holes in the panels, there are screws put in crooked, the seals on the screws are not flush. I do not see leaking inside my home yet because there is new underpayment on the roof and then I Have the rafters wrapped inside with a heat shield. What bothers me the most is that L&V seems happy to do very crappy work (the work is worse than crappy) and thinks they should get paid.  Had I been the roofing contractor for this job I would have fixed all the problems without having the consumer show me all the mistakes.  This company should not have a roofing license. I have all kinds of pictures and have sent many to L&V but they just ignore them.

      3. ****** and I talked about this and he promised to return all my money on either a Wednesday or by a Friday at the latest. He never showed and never had the ***** to call and say he was not showing up.

      4. I want my deposit back.  I trusted ****** not only for a professional job but also for his word  He has failed at both. I bet he wouldnt have a roof on his home done this poorly.

      5. This roof has to be replaced, there is no saving it.  That is why I feel that the deposit should be refunded. Come on Vinnie do what is right so we both can move on.
