Hello, I filed a complaint several weeks ago against this pool company A&J Custom pools weeks ago and never heard back from BBB. They took my down payment to start on a pool and they never came back and did NOTHING. They kept over $4,000 dollars. They dont reply and dont answer their phone. I contacted city of PSL and was informed that they have several complaints filed against them on record. I feel like no one cares. Im trying to do things the right way and file complaints and they just kept my hard earned money ??? How is this legal?! They have done this to other homeowners.***********************Initial Complaint

Date of contract 3/10/23 Amount /deposit: $4,400 A&J Custom Pools LLC was contracted to Construct inground pool.After nearly 4 months we tried multiple times to contact owner to cancel contract. The owner has never contacted us with any update or next steps. Their voicemail is full so we cant leave a message. We went in person 6/28/23 to their office and the office is open with no one there. We contacted the city to ask if they filed for permit. The city told us the pool company did not provide a requirement for a fence. The pool company never called us after the $4,400 deposit so we were completely unaware that the city was waiting on this to provide a permit. Since we could not speak to the owner due to full voicemail. We texted him multiple times without a reply. The owner : *********************** finally replied through text telling us our deposit is non refundable. How could we possibly be forced to proceed with a company that has not once consulted with us after taking our money? There is no way to reach them. In fact The sales man : *********************** did speak to us 6/27/23 and told us that A&J Custom Pools owes him an excess amount of $20,000 and has not paid been paid himself. He told us hes willing to testify to this fact. *************************
