Order- Custom Doors 6000.00 1- French doors for patio 2- single exterior door bedroom Need to be painted- was the only thing we were told. Door were installed with massive excess of caulking around the inserts of glass. Holes were left were the screws and nails were installed. There is a escalating gap between my floor and the door threshold. The threshold is severely chopped/chiseled up from installation. The corners are not even touching where the inserts are held down. We were told our painter would have to complete the doors for painting. That they are not a flooring company. Even though my other door covered the floor just fine. We could get a razor blade and remove the access caulk from the glass. When we asked for someone to come out and check out the doors, all we received was an argument from the front desk girl (daughter of owner). Finally, we had a visit from the Owner Robert. Hands in pockets-not there to fix anything. He was there to defend his daughter. Proceeded to call me rude in my own home in front of my husband, who then told him to get out of our home. He was told 5 times to get out before he left. We have a issue with our doors that they will not address. Emails, calls, pictures have been sent. With no outcome in sight. They did offer to put shoe molding or a transition piece on my floors to the door. Absolutely not. Not for 6000.00 of made to order custom doors are we putting Band-Aids on anything. I went with a custom company so I would not have ill fitting doors or problems- I have more problems with the doors and people. I'm very disappointed.Business response

In response to the complaint received above, Absolute Installation, Inc. would first like to apologize for all misunderstandings and/or disappointments regarding this job.
We have been in business for 23 years and have never had a response like this to our work. Therefore, we also would like to explain our position. The scope of work performed was the installation of a retro fit double door and one single door. The total cost for labor and material was $5,390.00. This is for the installation of the doors only. It does not include paint finish work that most likely will be required with any retro fit/ remodeling situation. Unfortunately, it is this type of finish work that is referred to in the complaint. The issue regarding the caulking on the glass and open screw holes are both types of finish work typically performed by the homeowner's painter. The issue regarding the gap between the doors and the flooring is a common result of remodeling and retro fitting new doors in a home where the floors are not also being redone. As we tried several times to explain, there are a few solutions to fix that unavoidable problem such as a transition strip or shoe moulding but for some reason this was considered "absolutely unacceptable". Through emails, phone calls, and a meeting, all of this tried to be remedied and explained but to no avail. We can not be expected to do work that is not included in our bid and we can not fix unrealistic expectations.
Absolute Installation, Inc. is not happy when one of our customers is not happy and we are still willing to try to help them resolve the issues they are so disappointed about if they will be reasonable and open to accept what can be done.
Sincerely,
Robert Vierheller
Absolute Installation, Inc.

I am rejecting this response because:This company has already told a bold face lie in response. I believe I sent a copy of the google reviews of Taylar- Front desk. Who has been called difficult to work with many times. She never explained anything except that the door will need to be be painted. We are not a construction company with a crew, or with knowledge of what would need to be done to a door for 6000.00 unless the person selling us the doors gave us this knowledge. The ONLY thing we were told that needed to be done was PAINT. My biggest concerns: The floor gap, the threshold damage, over caulk and complete disrespect for a female in her own home. The Owner- Large male, didn't even look at the door before he started in on me about the emails to the front desk- to Taylar-his daughter. Once again- he didn't even touch, look, open, measure, level- NOTHING to my doors that don't cover the floor. The end. I will not use Ban-aids to cover their mistakes, such as quarter round and or shoe molding. As for transition pieces???? It has a 3 inch threshold. No thank you. I paid good money for a nice set of doors. Not this trashy look they left me.
Sincerely,
