We bought a used 2014 Holiday Rambler, Vacationeer, 33 SFD, in December of 2022, from Camper’s Corner, in Fruitland Park, Florida. At the pickup appointment, a Mechanic did a “walk thru” to show Bill all the movement and operational uses of the RV. No checklist, or instructions were followed by the mechanic and no paperwork was exchanged. When walking away and were told, “refer to the manual”, if we needed additional operational assistance. The sales professional, Jeff, knew we were first time RV’ers and that our expectation was to immediately move into the RV and go “full time living”. At the same time, we bought a used two wheeler/car hauler, and left the property, once the mechanic loaded my car onto the two wheeler. (NO HAULER “PIN” WAS GIVEN TO US – note for later conversation) Once we drove home, we attempted to follow directions in manual and verbal instructions from Mechanic/Wayne. But when we got home, we had had the following issues with the RV: • Leveling Jack system didn’t retract correctly • Driver’s seat leaned towards middle, making driving unsafe • Radio “had a ghost” and would play randomly, draining the batteries • Water leak under sink • AC under dash not working • House batteries were not charging • Slides (rooms not coming out) were not retracting. • Tail lights, running lights and other lights were not working.
