I hired *** ******* with Blue Line home repair, LLC to do a few jobs for me with the main job rebuilding my deck in composite in the same size it was prior 20x20. He asked for $7500 upfront and was supposed to be done in one week, and then I was to pay him the additional $2500. The first problem I found was that he shorted my deck by 2 feet. He didn’t even speak to me about this and when I confronted him in txt message he showed up to my house unannounced and made excuses for it & was defensive. I told him I was very disappointed and that it wasn’t ok. He said he needed the rest of the money to get materials and I was going to have him fix my gate so I gave him additional money as well so at this point I gave him the remaining $2500 plus $200. Then weeks go by as he had little help and family issues, I started noticing he didn’t measure correctly, and had shoved little square blocks between the rails and the post.. some had none, some 1 others had 2, and instead of fixing it he kept building on it expecting me to deal with if or not notice. He never pulled a permit. He didn’t even finish the deck. I tried to get him to correct his work & he did a little bit more to the stairs that he left half done but never did the trim, he moved some posts to take some of the blocks off that didn’t belong but he left others and he left the deck with posts and rails crooked !! And he won’t fix them. He said he’s done the scope of work I paid him to do. I hired him because he was licensed and insured and I wanted it done correctly and he left me with an unprofessional job and a deck that has crooked posts and rails
