I PURCHASED A ****** ******* 2015 AT BMW OF GAINESVILLE ON 10/24/22 FOR $36,982.35. I PUT A DOWN PAYMENT OF $19,000 AND FINANCE 17,982.35 THRU ********** ****** *****. VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED TO ME ON 10/25/22 AND PAID $600.00 CASH PER DEALERSHIP INSTRUCTION. ON 10/26/22 I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CAR WASH AND NOTICED WATER WAS LEAKING INSIDE OF THE CAR FROM THE ROOF ON THE PASSENGER 2ND ROW SEAT. I NOTIFIED BMW OF GAINESVILLE IMMEDIATELY AND I WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE TOYOTA TREASURE COAST FOR DIAGNOSIS. ON 10/27/22 I TOOK THE CAR TO TREASURE COAST TOYOTA. THE DIAGNOSIS REVEALED THAT THE WHOLE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE WAS RUSTED AND WAS JUST CULKED TO COVER THE RUST. THE TOYOTA CERTFIED CERTIFIED BODY SHOP STATED THE REPAIR IS GOING TO BE EXTENSIVE AND EXPENSIVE. THEY MADE AND AN ESTIMATE JOB WORK AND SENT IT TO BMW. BMW GAINESVILLE WAS AWARE OF THE DETAILED BODYWORK FROM A CERTIFIED TOYOTA BODYSHOP. BMW GAINESVILLE DECIDED THEY WILL PICKED UP THE CAR AND TAKE IT TO THEIR OWN TOYOTA BODY SHOP AT GATOR TOYOTA IN GAINESVILLE. ON 10/31/22 BMW PICKED UP THE CAR TO TAKE IT TO THIER OWN TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AT GATOR TOYOTA. ON 11/2/22 BMW GAINESVILLE CALLED ME THAT THE CAR IS NOT REPAIRABLE DUE TO THE EXTENT OF THE RUST PROBLEM. I REQUESTED REFUND OF ALL THE MONEY I SPENT FOR THE CAR ON 11/2/22. THEY ARE GIVING ME A RUN AROUND REGARDING MY REQUEST AND NOT GIVING ME A CLEAR INFO HOW WILL I GET MY REFUND INCLUDING THE 1 WEEK THAT I HAD TO RENT A CAR. FROM 11/2/22 UP TO NOW IM STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THEM. I CALLED AND SENT TXT MESSAGES BUT WITH NO SUCCESS. MIDFLORIDA IS GOING TO STAR TO CHARGE ME THE LOAN OF A CAR THAT WAS RETURNED ON 11/2/22. IM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT TO ASK FOR HELP REGARDING THIS MATTER AS THE DEALERSHIP IS NOT RESPONDING TO MY CALLS ANYMORE. As soon as you notified us of the leak we recommended bringing it to a local Toyota dealer. Once they advised you of the extent we discussed bringing it to our Certified Toyota Shop. Our shop found more rust and advised that the repair would be more costly than your estimate. You purchased a used vehicle and we refunded your down payment and our accounting office sent the check to the lien holder. Our accounting office was closed for the hurricane so I apologize for the delay. Feel free to contact us anytime as you have our direct contact numbers.

I purchased a car from them in March of 2022, I was told this car was not in an accident, however it was later learned it was. Yes my fault for not researching. However I was purchasing this vehicle with the knowledge that they stated that they charged me a $1500 reconditioning fee in order to make sure the car was in it's best possible condition. I later looked at the rims and tires that they stated they replaced and there are 2 different rims on the car. I also just changed my oil for the first time and found that there are several screws missing to the oil pan cover. I also changed the cabin air filter that was the factory filter. and was in such bad shape it fell apart as I removed it. These are all items that on a check list they reported were changed. I would like to be compensated for the $1500 fee that was misleading and services were never completed. This was fraud and I would like this complaint to be public.Business response
