I took my Georgia Boots to them last fall (2021) to be re-soled. He charged me $72 (in advance) and said it would be three weeks due to the pandemic and an employee being sick. When three weeks had passed, I drove the 35 miles to his shop only to be told, “Not ready. Have them for you next week.” After three weeks of this (and me not having my boots when needed, I gave up. I called and stopped in periodically, but he did not have them ready for me until this summer (2022). I wore them ONCE and the new soles came apart. I took them back on Nov 12 (2022) and asked for my money. He begged me to let him have them to fix, and he swore they’d be ready by the next Wednesday (four days later). I actually waited NINE days to give him a chance. I just walked into the shop today (11/21/22) to find them sitting EXACTLY where he sat them the day I left! I asked for my money back and was told that it wasn’t possible today - to call back tomorrow. As I’ve heard similar for the past YEAR, I’m going public. I need to either fix these boots or buy another pair, but the $72 he charged me and won’t return is all I have to spend on shoes right now.
