3-16-2023 a permit was pulled for the havoc system to be installed . they let the permit expire and asked to an extension after my calling them for almost a yr. I pd for a new havoc system . I asked how strong the heat pump would be and was told 8.5 HSPF as I started a rebate from duke energy worth ******. I could not get it until all was done by Iron air. They installed the system on 3-16-2023. the condenser is dated July 2019. The furnace is dated 6 of 2022. The answer I got from the company was it was new to me. The city inspector came 2-21-2024. The equipment failed due to AHRI. My warranty runs out a yr from when the equipment was installed. I need this resolved now. I gave them almost a year listening to excuses.

The Iron Air llc brought me a lot of paperwork today some of which I had. The permit was issued 3/30/2023 with a expiration date of 5-13-1-24. How ever the *************** closed it due to no action. They know this and had to do an extension after me calling a lot to iron Air. They did do the extension. it is a mechanical permit. according to an email they showed me today dated 4-4-2023 they sent the ahri to my neighbor and a  noc which I never got.  That is a moot point since it was installed  on 3-16-2023. They gave me a packet today that included the ahri. The dates of manufacture are as described in my previous report. The equipment is discontinued as of 9-16-2020 according to the ahri they gave me. I have no idea why. They checked my returns in the ceiling of my home  and yes there is some dirt up there. They bought the outdated equipment on 3/14/2023. after some research I discovered there was a lot of law suits on this brand of equipment. I cant find out the serial numbers of them though. So the bottom line is they must  not have  understood what they were buying and were a victim and I  ended up being a victim as a result. The outside if the equipment was not seeping water when the air was on.  The did not believe me before and kept saying I was lying. But now they are not. They said something was blocking it and apparently fixed that. They did not check  air quality as far as I know since the air was on. That has been an issue.  We  both maybe victims. They bought the equipment from Carrier ******* located in ******* **. The city inspector is scheduled for this Friday. Thought I would update you . If I gave you the numbers of the equipment is there a way to discover if they are on a recall.

It passed the city inspection today. The date on the **** is 3-15-2024. that does not correspond with the email they sent my neighbor last yr in April. I dont think there is anything that you can do about them buying and installing old outdated discontinued equipment when I was pd for new at least that is  what a reasonable person would believe when having  an hvac company buy and install the equipment.  Therefore I am closing  this complaint.

HOW this is satisfactory is beyond me. I sent you another document. The equipment they installed according to the manufacturing date is old. Everytime I complained about it I was first told I had to get an electrician to install one or it would nit pass inspection. ****** paying for it and having it inspection it cost me. They came out I thought to check the unit but the workers did not even know that. They twist it around on me cause they know I am old and ill and dont have the equipment as they do to send docs to you unless I go into the filing system in my computer.  I can not fight this alone. I do have everything saved. even the e mails. here is one This unit is under your service warranty at this time by your business. Just so you know as I did call and leave a message but it appears we need to do these things in writing. First of all that issue with the equipment call that was completed by **** and ***** on 2-7-2024 (*** even acknowledged on 2-7-2024) I would not be charged.  Your service people did discover that the unit did not meet code though. Interesting enough it is not on your findings as written below.. They did find that though. It is hard to believe that it is working correctly as the outside unit bangs loud when the air turns on automatically and so does the inside unit. When the air was running yesterday no water was coming out of the outside unit. When the air blows it has some kind of a chemical smell inside the house. It does not heat or cool the sun room. . It still has a burning smell when the heat is on. After checking the inside unit, the filter holder appears not to be fitting properly -it was before your business investigated the unit. . I can only conclude your service people did not close it properly. I do not want to try to fix that due to my lack of qualification as it looks crooked. That needs to be corrected now also.
Issue number 2- On 2-6-2024, the *************** stated that the permit for installation was never acted upon by your business. It was closed with no action done. I called them to confirm that the system was inspected  which I had told ******** was going to do in our conversation on 2-5-2024. On 2-5-2024 *** told me that the permit officer had already been at the residence of 1838 ************ ******* ** when I was not home and completed the inspection.Everything was good so I need not have to worry about it. I needed to have written confirmation from the ***************. I can get into more detail on this but for now the bottom line is that the permit extension that was filed on the 9th of this month by your business is still not active due to your business not paying the  35$ extension fee to the *************** as the permit section  informed you to do so before the extension is granted.. *************** me he would be here today to correct the system but he did not give me a time. Please give me a call to let me know when he will be here today.
      Thank you
I certainly hope that helps clear up any more issues for you. If you need any more help in this please feel free to call me.

      Good afternoon *******,

Just a follow up on our phone conversation at 1:17 pm today we would like to reiterate that we need you to contact a licensed electrician to complete the disconnect in the air handler closet.Once that is complete please reach out to us via email to schedule the final inspection so we can close out the permit.

Also as stated any invoices unpaid will result in a voided warranty.

      Thank you so much,
       Iron Air, LLC.

There is another one.   The point of the matter is Due to all this both me and my husband are getting sicker. This equipment was manufactured  one  the outside is 2019 and the other is 2020. *** told me they did not have any new equipment when he bought these. He should of told me that. This type can blow up or kill you from freon. I cant even use my sun room. It still smell's like it is burning.
