I hired **** to coat roof with spray for $2000 down and $2000 when completed.3. Roof leaked after first big rainstorm. **** said it wasn't his fault and he would fix the leak and spray the roof for $1000 down and $2000 when completed with a 2 year warranty.4. Paid **** $1000 up fromt. **** asked for another $1000 to cover materials, which I gave him. At the end of the day on Friday 5/12/2023 **** asked me for the final payment of $1000, which I gave him. I thought the job was finished.5. Next day it rained and the roof leaked.6. On Sunday May 14,2023 at 11:18 AM, I sent a text message to **** "We just had a little rain and the roof is still leaking" "Don't cash check 143 until leak is fixed". I followed up with phone calls. **** agreed that he would not cash the check until the leak was fixed and the work was completed. I then notified the bank.7. **** said he was busy and he didn't come to my house until Wednesday 5/17/2023 10AM. When he looked at the leak, he said he would be back with a hose to find out where the leak was coming from. **** said he would fix the leak and spray the roof heavily as per his warranty. It was not until then that I found out that he took check 143 before he sprayed the roof and hadn't completed the job. That afternoon he tried to cash the check and of course it bounced.8. **** in now trying to *** me for $15000.9. I am the one who has been damaged and I am in the process of finding an attorney to represent me.
