Occurred around October 14, 2023. My fiance and I took a trip to Florida to purchase an RV from Andy **** (Auto Depot of Navarre). He stated that he needed a large deposit in order to hold the RV we were interested in purchasing. Upon arrival and inspecting the vehicle, there were numerous things wrong with it. It was raining the day we arrived. We took the vehicle out for a test drive only to find the windshield wipers did not work. The ladder bracket was broken, therefore we could not take a look at the roof. He was unable to start the generator. We asked him for proof of the mileage he had taken a picture of and sent to us. He said he was unable to retrieve the mileage on the RV. My fiance in turn told him we had a change of heart about the vehicle and felt very unsafe driving back to Rhode Island and we wanted our deposit back. Andy then states that he cannot give us back our money because he had to consult with his father first. He stated if he did refund it, it would only be half($3,000). I've been trying to reach out to him since this incident and he fails to answer any phone calls. How can this be resolved to get our money back?

I have attached the bill of sale . As far as the claim goes the ********* family agreed to buy an RV after reviewing videos and pictures. They gave a $6000 non refundable deposit with balance due on pickup 5 weeks later. On arrival they decided to not purchase stating they wanted a new RV instead of used. We have an executed contract that is signed by both parties and a verbal agreement. All concerns - windshield wiper, generator, and mileage on dash were addressed the next business day when rv tech arrived- everything works as it should. Melissa has left numous bad reviews on internet claiming scam. Obviously they 100% agreed to by an rv, signed a contract, left a non refundable deposit. Was planning on refunding a portion of deposit after the RV sold but with the harrasment and negativity I will no longer due so.
      Thanks
           Andy ****

I am rejecting this response because:  Andy **** is being very dishonest with his response.  There wasn't ANYTHING stated that there was a non-refundable deposit.  We gave a deposit upon inspection of the RV.  We would never purchase an RV for $67,500.00 based on pictures without an inspection first.  We DID NOT say that we changed our mind and were going to buy a new one.  In fact, we purchased another used RV that was in much better condition.  Even after he told us there was nothing wrong with the RV (he told us that we could get to Florida and drive it home) he admitted that he had to do repairs.  We did not sign a contract; it was a bill of sale.  I don't know why he would send us a bill of sale before we paid for it.  Therefore, we are still requesting a FULL refund.

      Sincerely,

      Paul *********

Prospective buyer agreed to purchase rv, signed paperwork, left deposit. Arrived 5 weeks later decided not to purchase and wants a full refund. Many other serious buyers during 5 week deposit time were turned away .

Intially compromised with partial refund after the RV sale,  agreed by both parties. However a few weeks later negative reviews and childish comments appeared over the internet. I withdraw my comprimise at this point and they are in full default of deposit.

I purchased a car from Auto Depot in Navarre (Gulf Breeze) on 8/10/2022. I had the vehicle for 5 days which left me stranded on the road. I used my roadside assistance to have the car towed to my parents home. He charged my Dad $300 for some parts he said he knew were broken and needed repair. We are not car repair people so were no aware of any needed repairs when it left the lot. He will not respond to any of my calls or texts. He also broke the sunroof and stated he cant find the part to repair it and asked us to come and get it. We are asking for our money back. He still has not responded.

We purchased a truck from these people on July 29 2022. The truck broke down on our way to Tampa and on the way home. We called him and had it towed to them. I have text messages stating that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. We picked it up and it broke down again on the way home. It is now at a mechanic shop and is already up to 650 to fix. This man lied to us and stole 10,000 from us. He should be put out of business immediately He stole and lied and I have it in writing where he said there was nothing wrong with it. Please help. Truck ran great for the several months we had pulling boats and trailers. One month later Customer complains of hard start and loss of power. Was dropped off at our shop for computer diagnostic. DISCOVERED truck had been rewired and battery shorted out. Battery swapped out started right up live data showed no codes and ran perfect. Let run for several hours and even drove to Lunch. Truck picked up Customer states problem remains.

I am reporting Mr. Andy Pike from Auto Depot of Navarre in Gulf Breeze, FL for not returning my money ($1,250.00) that is owed to me. I initially contacted Mr. Pike on a Facebook listing of a 1975 Dodge Ramcharger for the listed price of $19,900.00 on 16 September 2021 at 3:22pm on Facebook Messenger. We spoke on the phone and he answered all of my questions and stated, "there is nothing wrong with the vehicle." He said, "everything works great and it is road ready." I sent him $2,000.00 on Cash App on 19 September 2021 so the vehicle would be held for me to come inspect. I then sent another $500 to him on Cash App on 24 September 2021. I flew all the way from Iraq to Indiana for time off from work and then flew to Florida just for the vehicle. He guaranteed it would be in great condition. On 28 September 2021 I arrived at the dealership. Andy Pike greeted me and gave me a tour and drive of the vehicle. It was not in the condition he had said. Once I found out the engine was back firing and would die while idling I backed out and asked for my money back since he had wasted my time and did not care that I flew from Iraq. He laughed in my face and said he was being generous by giving me half of my money. He first tried to send it through cash app but cancelled it twice in order to fool me because I was about to take a Uber back to the airport. So I asked him to give me cash. He gave me $1,250.00 in cash. I felt bullied, taken advantage of, and swindled by a crook. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY SORT OF CONTRACT, PAPERWORK, OR DOCUMENTS SIGNED THAT HE COULD KEEP MY MONEY IF I BACKED OUT! All I want in return is my $1,250.00. Andy Pike's cell is 850-375-0491 I've attempted to contact him but he has been ignoring my calls and messages. I believe he has blocked me as well. If you would like a longer and more detailed report, I have one saved in my personal draft email. Please help me, Thomas William Ivester Email: [email protected] Cell: 765-205-3811

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2021/12/01) */ I Andy Pike agreed to sell Thomas ******* one 1975 Ram Charger. After an exhaustive process of providing video , detailed pictures, and facetime video chat we entered into a purchase agreement with a $2500 non refundable binder / deposit. Mr ******* was out of country and wanted to secure purchase as he was 4 weeks before returning to country. Several people tried to buy said ram charger during this period for full price but they were informed vehicle was sold " who walks on a $2500 non-fundable deposit." Thomas arrived to purchase vehicle but decided not to purchase. We then entered into another agreement 1/2 of deposit refund in cash. Both parties in full agreement payment made. Mr. ******* changed his mind for the second time deminding his full refund. Mr ******* has given his word twice in full agreement only to later change his mind. His Dad left a negative review on social media. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2021/12/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) No, I do not agree with Andy Pike's response. Now he is lying by implying we had some sort of a "verbal nonrefundable agreement". Something he has no proof of other than his word. This guy can't even spell my last name right or spell the word "demanded". Which I did not "demand", I asked for all of my money back. He is saying who walks on a $2500 non-refundable deposit. Let me ask you this then. Why would I or anyone else agree to flying from Iraq to Indiana to go home on leave and then take time away from friends and family and waste money and leave time to fly down to Florida just to risk losing out on $2,500 for a vehicle you are unsure of the overall condition? Nobody would do that unless they are swindled in just like the way Andy Pike swindled me and he is using his con artists tactics to fool the BBB now. Andy Pike, what does other people like my dad have to do with you not giving me my money back? Stop going rogue in this case to mislead and distract the BBB from the matter at hand and what this is all about. Let's look at the evidence to back this case up. I gave you a down payment for the vehicle to hold and come look at it. No paperwork or any sort of recorded documentation was finalized of a non-refundable deposit. I was not happy with the vehicle. You decided to only give me half of my money back. Those are the clear facts that can able to be shown in this case. Give me back the rest of my money. $1,250
