      Contract signed 9/13/23 to excavate and remove existing brick **************** porch and pour new **************** porch.Contract price of $12,522.00 + permit fees of $1114.39 all installments paid on time. Remaining $200.00 to be paid upon final inspection which I cannot get this business to complete and have been trying for MONTHS.They have drug this out, performed shoddy work, let the permit expire and refuse to reopen it and have accused me of dragging this out due to the color of the stain. The concrete was poured in a rainstorm which seems to have impacted the concrete, It's flaking, had cracks immediately which they tried to patch, sealer peeled and has been removed, reapplied and peeled again. I offered to accept it as is if they removed the peeling sealer and completed the inspection process. This has been going on since December and last week someone named **** responded that I need to pay to reopen the permit per the above comments. Just looking at the pictures of the work and finish shows that is absurd.The permit expired on 2/7/24. Yet they were still removing sealer on 2/27 I reached out to permit department, and it seems info being provided by permit person from the company was inaccurate as well:*********************, Apr 19, 9:03AM (8 days ago)Good morning *****, never a bother.I just left you a voice message regarding the permit status.It does appear that the permit has lapsed into expiration status due to the lack of inspection progress on the project.The only recorded inspection is shown below.The nature of this project requires the following inspections in order to obtain closure:Structural: Rockbase/forms and Final Zoning: Rockbase/forms and Final Engineering: Final Additionally, I also not able to locate a request to renew the permit.I'd like this company to reopen the permit and get the inspection process completed and address anything identified in inspections or provide a refund so I can get someone to come fix the mess they made.

      The permit was reopened on 5/6/24 and I hounded them to schedule inspections. One is scheduled for today but I think others are also required so dont want to accept or close this until the job is completed.

      We are working with The City of ************************************ and ***************** to renew her permit, at our expense and complete the final inspections to close out the permit. We should have it handled within the next week.

      I hired Lauderdale Concrete and wrote a check for 1/3 of the job, to Lauderdale Concrete for a stamped concrete driveway. After checking with the ***************** why the permit was not moving forward, I discovered, ************** from Castilla Concrete Finish Design Corp. put in for my permit. Lauderdale Concrete is a fictitious name for Castilla Concrete and this company already has numerous complaints on BBB, ******* and ********* along with 1 star reviews. I cancelled my permit with the ***************** and have been requesting my payment of $6230 back everyday. I am sent directly to voicemail when I call the company. Today **** called me back and said I will have to take him to court and he will continue to push it back so I never get paid. They have done no work for my property and kept my first payment of $6230.

      I signed a contract and paid a deposit of $2500 and then they kept having me sign permit request. I hadn't heard from them for a few months. When I call the guy requesting updates he told me not to call him again that i shoulf call 2 of his employees. I called the employees and they told me they'll call me back. I have text then several times with request to contact me but they never contacted me since. When I call they never respond. I've waited for them for long enough to reach back.

      We hired Castilla Concrete Finish Design Corp to install a stamped concrete driveway 1/25/22. The permit was obtained and the work was completed in Aug. 2022. Inspected 8/18/22. On Aug. 26, 2022, I contacted the company to tell them the driveway was not ok. The response was to wait a few days and it will be ok. I asked if they would fix it if not, no answer. I did not pursue the issue for a variety of health reasons during the ensuing year. In Nov. 2023, they sent us a text asking for a positive review. I called them and told them how unhappy we were with the driveway and wanted them to come and fix it. They finally sent their person (****************. 13, 2023) to assess and he said it needed to be recoated. The office manager (****) said they would have us on their calendar in November. I have texted or called weekly. Dec 5 text said the would be out here the next week. Never heard from him. Dec 19 text said he was behind because of the weather. I called the owner of the company who basically yelled at me and told me he didn't care what I did and that I would have to deal with ****. Dec. 19 told after the holidays. Jan. 5th text said that on Monday she would let us know. I have texted and called weekly now and there is no response. I am at my **** ends and have no idea what to do to fix this issue. She is not returning calls or texts since Jan. 5, ****. Before we even started they changed the contract and promised 1 thing and then refused to do it until we paid them an additional cost for the "stamped" concrete. The pictures show both the cracks in general as well as the total chipping. There are more samples, just uploaded a few.

      Date of Transaction: July 18, 2022-this was when work was completed on my driveway (check shows being cashed/paid 7/18/22). The contractor resurfaced my driveway. The job is called European Tile or Stamped Concrete. I was told that the job would last 10+ years by the sales person (****). The maintenance required was that the driveway should be sealed every year. I called Castilla/Contractor to get the sealant they used-to get the correct product. When I sealed the driveway in August of 2023, noticed that a section at the bottom of my driveway had cracked & the "surface concrete" was separating from bottom concrete. I called Castilla to report the issue & request repair. I first called **** (Sales ******* **** advised I call ******************************* (person who dealt with Permits). ******** returned my call some time in Sept. 2023. She advised would pull my file & have someone go out to my home. She asked for Photos. I sent them to her. I called Castilla almost every week up to December 2023. After speaking to ********, when I called I spoke to "****." Apparently **** is President or *******. Each time, **** requested my address & said we'll pull your file. Never got a call back or anyone arrive at my address. **** advised me that ******** would take care of issue. I called ******** was told: The team that did your driveway doesn't work for us anymore. The new team wont go out & repair it. Because they say they will have to keep coming out? She acknowledged that this issue (crack & separation happen). But Castilla wasnt doing anything to fix it. My last call to **** (Dec. 11 @ 11:45am) he told me to F--- Off. My account# is my address in **************: *******************************.

      Desired Settlement We paid for a job in full to do my driveway in euro tile in September 16th 2023 the owners brother **** who came to our house and did the sales pitch we paid a deposit 50% and 50% we paid upon completion. **** told ***** and **** that no permit was needed in ************* and if there was any permit need the price of the permit would be included in the total price of $5490.00 **** guaranteed us that.

      Contracted with company on 4/14/23 to pour driveway, after they promised they could get a permit in "a week or 2 at most". They were unable to get permit. On June 27 I asked for a refund and they said I must come to office to get it. When I asked to confirm the address he cursed me out and said "see you in court". So he is refusing to refund my $1900 deposit despite no work being performed and is violating the terms of the contract.

      On 4/14/2023 you contracted for a driveway. On 4/21/2023 you signed the permit application needed to submit the file. On 5/4/2023, 13 days after signing paperwork your permit was paid for an issued. On 5/9/2023 the engineering department in the city of ************** revoked the permit approval because it did not comply with ULDC 47-18.3. You were made aware of all this. you were kept in the loop with the permit girl in our office. She has over 40 calls logged on her phone to your number. On 6/27/2023 you called for your refund and I stated that "company policy is to pick up a check in our office".  You insisted I mail you the check, which I stated is not our policy. Your response was "I'm a Lawyer, you don't want to mess with me". My response was "see you in court". At 10:00am on 6/27/2023, yourself and **********************, your neighbor, who was also under contract with us for the same project, came to my office and received your refunds. at 12:00pm on that same day you wrote a complaint with the BBB stating we were unable to get a permit, which we did and that I refused to give you a refund, which you already had in your possession and took to my bank and cashed it. ***** is real and what goes around, comes around. You are a proven liar and an awful human being. Your actions are why lawyers have such a bad reputations>

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have some sympathy for ************ as I know he is dealing with anger management issues and is wrestling with a chemical imbalance brought on by his obesity, but his liberties with the truth can not be ignored.  In his response he states that I filed my original complaint after I received a refund check.  This is categorically false and can be validated by the time stamp on my initial complaint, which occurred before the meeting Mr. ***** referenced.  Second, while I did receive a check after the complaint was filed, Mr. ***** immediately threatened to stop payment on that check as retaliation for the initial complaint.  A copy of that text is attached.  Lastly, his claim of "40 phone calls to my number" is complete and utter fiction.  Not sure if he is confused or just a habitual liar, but it's obvious why he failed to include a phone log to validate this claim - because it never happened. 

      If we can make it through the week without Mr. ***** attempting to cancel the refund, we can consider this matter closed.  But until that time we must consider his threat to be real, and therefore the complaint should remain open.

      January 12, ************************************ the front and back patio of my house I give $1700 in deposit, I was told they needed permit from the ********************** and approval from my community, no problem, they got city permit in may , I did the work for community approval and was approve after much delay because of their lacks. Now all permits are in I send to them the community approval than they went silent, each time I call them they said call the big boss, I call the big boss he said call someone else, they keep playing around very unprofessional, after many call to them reminding them the permits are expiring no one bother to talk to me about the project no leadership just same old tricks call ceo no accountability. All the permits and approvals have expired , I just want my money now. I went to their office the office door open no one in the office , I waited 3hrs when the owner finally show up and he try to give me $1100 from my $1700. I did not accepted because I did not back out of a contract, they fail at every point to do the project, the owner looked at me as below him, and claim I have a lot of work he basically dont care for my little project and state if I did not want the $1100 he dont care he will keep it. Please help me get my $1700.

      A permit was issued for a stamped concrete patio. The *** does not allow stamped concrete in the community. The cost to obtain the permit was $512.63 and was paid to The **********************. The contract states that if the permit is approved and paid and for whatever reason the job can't be done, the permit fees are to be deducted from the refund. There are 4 previous complaints with the BBB regarding refunds and all were returned to the customer less the cost of the permit. The customer was handed a check for $1,187.33 and a copy of the contract which states the homeowner is responsible for the permit cost. She stated she does not care what the contract she agreed to and signed, if she does not receive $1,700.00 she will write a nasty complaint with the BBB. The check is still in the office.

      there was never an issue with my ***, I text her a copy of the *** approval  and she replied "am waiting for ***************** to tell me status of your pavers"  ******** is the representative from Castilla handling the project, i have more text message if needed

      The *************** began a Drainage repair project in my neighborhood and contracted Moncor to complete damaged to the property. Moncor sub- contracted Castilla Concrete Finish Design Corp. In addition to the minor repair I contracted Castilla to repaint and seal the driveway for $1500. The project was not sealed. For 8 weeks I texted and called ************ who promised someone would come out each week. After he stopped answering my calls. As I prepare for a 3 month trip, I contacted ****** who reached out to ************ and indicated he would come the following week. It's been 3 additional weeks and I have yet to hear from anyone. I just want my driveway completed as contracted to omit the need to file a civil complaint.

      I added stamped concrete to my house, they said that the job was completed, with in a week of the job finished the paint started coming off. I called the office, many times I test the customer service, they even have me talking to the contractor that painted. After many attempts now the office doesn't answered the phone. I don't know what to do. They got paid in full since their contract states they need to get paid in full before the job is finished.

      The project was permitted, inspected and finaled by the *************. The company was not paid in full and there is a balance due. As per the contract, *********** will be performed if there is an outstanding cash balance on account." Upon remittal of balance, we will gladly go and fix any problems or defects.
