Date of Transaction: 01/03/2023, 01/05/2023, 06/15/2023 & 08/04/2023 - deposits Hired The Golf Travel Group to secure hotel reservations and golf tee times for ******** for the dates of 7/28-08/04/2024 for a total of 8 individuals.Received an itinerary and quote in December of 2022. Have discovered that The Golf Travel Group is no longer in business and money was deposited with MPM Golf Travel Consulting, Inc. The agent for both companies is *********************** who continued to represent himself as The Golf Travel Group ************************************* Have had infrequent contact with ****************** and have discovered that no reservation have been made. He has further stopped responding to our telephone calls and emails. The total amount of the deposits to date is over $50,000. Further, Thegolftravelgroup.com website is still operational so others may be victimized.Initial Complaint

In July of 2023 we inquired about a golf trip to the ******** Rockies with www.thegolftravelgroup.com. We emailed and spoke many times with *******************************, ********************************** to iron out details. Since the trip was for Sept. *****, 2023 a deposit was required quickly. We made a deposit of $5495. on 07/11/23 and the balance of $5455. was paid on 07/17/23. Both payments made with ***************** totaling $11,150.usd.On August 24th, 2023 ****************** sent us an email advising that the Rocky ************ the highlight, railroad portion of the trip was cancelled due to fires. Clearly a devastating situation for all concerned. At that point we chose to cancel. We have been in a constant back and forth with ****************** since then asking for our full refund due to their cancelation, not ours. On 01/13/24 he sent me an image of a check, partial refund in the amount of $4550. I reiterated my home address so there could be no confusion. More than 2 wks later still no check has arrived. We just want our refunded monies. Can you kindly assist with this situation or tell me how to proceed. This was my husband's 75th birthday present.Initial Complaint

In 2019 we signed a contract to go to the British Open at St. Andrews. Accommodations, transfers, and tickets for the open were included in the price. We paid installments over the next year. The open was postponed to 2022 due to Covid. We were notified that our money would be used to go to the open in 2022. We received updates about every 3 months concerning our trip. About a month before we were to depart, we received a letter stating that our schedule and information concerning our trip would be forthcoming. They requested our flight information, which we were responsible for, be forwarded to them. We complied. Two days before we were to depart, we received and email stating that the tour had not been booked and we were not going. They stated that they would fully refund our money, including any cancellation fees we had for flights, hotels, rental cars, etc. It has been 8 months since the cancellation and we haven't received a penny over our $14,200.Initial Complaint

I paid the company over $4,000 for a trip to Ireland for a client, *************, but the company never provided the services nor paid the commission due. The owner, Michael M******, keeps promising a refund, but none has been forthcoming.
