I bought a used car from ************ on March 8, 2024. On March 19th, the car stopped working My Car was towed by AAA and bought to this auto center. I went with the tow truck and informed the service advisor to call me and let me know what the problem was and the amount it would cost. The next day I was called and told to come in, the car was fixed. When I got there the bill totaled $711.66. I was flabbergasted, but I paid the bill. The service advisor never called me as I had requested. Had he called me I would have notified ************ of the problem and would have had the car towed to ************. On my way to ************ on March 23, the car stalled on their premises, ************ checked and found the alternator to be defective. They replaced it and gave me the one Hialeah ********* Center had put in. I called HAC and was told they could not take it back or refund me any money because another company had touched the alternator, I am 73 years old and in poor health. I feel I got the raw end of this deal and had not been given an opportunity to do what was best for me. The alternator is in my truck, I can not use it and if it is defective it should be returned to the manufacturer and I should be reimbursed my money. Per some research I complied the maximum cost if the alternator should be $200 not the $711.66 I was overcharged. Given these circumstances, I am requesting a full refund andI will return the alternator to HAC.
