Signed contract June 2021, permits ready Dec 2021, excavation began March 2022. Everything was smooth after that so I decided to have them install the pool deck (not part of the original contract). I was told to apply for the permit myself, which I did online on 4/22/22. Unfortunately, because of the incompetency of some employees at the city of Miramar ************* (separate issue), my application was rejected. Allegedly, I was missing a couple of information on the form. However, I didn't know this until 6/20/22. The city decided to send an email to Donwrite (instead of me) on 4/26/22 detailing the missing information. This was denied by Downrite even though there is a proof from the city that the email was sent. Because the fault was 3- way (Downrite for not paying attention to their emails, *************** for their incompetent staff, and myself for not following up personally), I had to do what I had to do in order to complete the project. Finally, permit for the pool deck was approved on 8/9/22. You think that after the long delay, Downrite would be empathic of my situation and move fast? Nah! It was actually the opposite. Oh, by the way, I've paid 90% of the original contract at this point. The only thing remaining was the 10% (plaster). I learned there was one failed inspection from engineering which Downrite was aware an engineer letter was needed to get past it. While I was struggling with the pool deck permit, they haven't worked on securing the letter. Now, it has been almost 2 months and no signs they are willing to complete the project. I have emailed and called ******* who has no decency to get in touch w/ me. I had to show up in their office on 9/17/22, only to be told one of them has to be onsite when the engineer comes and no one is available, but the week of 9/26/22 for sure it will happen. Thanks to *** he got the engineer to come on 9/18. BUT NOW WHAT? HURRICANE *** CAME SO THE LETTER COULDN'T BE COMPLETED?? I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THE EXCUSES!!
