On the Invaluable. com auction platform I won a ****************************** and paid promptly from **** Auction in *******. They saids to notify them about shipping. I called, texted, emailed all last week and got no answer, lines temporarily unavailable, left two phone messages. They had four shippers listed, and none of them work. I have purchased more than 2000 items on invaluable.com but this is the first time I used **** auctions. I contacted invaluable to help me, but they did not get back to me yet. I wish I would have seen the BBB complaints. This was to be my grand daughters grad gift for graduate school. Will not happen now. This was April 26when I won the bracelet. I have disputed the transaction on my credit card, but that will take time. How do these people keep their auctioneer's license.?

On August 22, 2022 I bid on, won and paid in full for a fire opal and diamond ring. I called the seller, Auctions by ****, several times to arrange for shipping. When I finally reached someone (a woman) she told me that the ring was not in their possession. It was being shipped from another seller. She told me to call back the next day which I did. No one answered and I could not leave a message. I tried calling the following day but no one answered again. When I finally got in touch with someone the following week, (*****), told me that the ring they received was not the same one I bid on and paid for. He said he was going try to remedy the situation and that he would call me back in ten minutes, but he never did. I tried calling the following day but no one answered and the mail box was full. I had tried emailing several times as well but never got a response. I contacted Invaluable, the online hosting service, and they tried to reach out to Auctions by **** to no avail. I have all of the receipts and a copy of the letter from Invaluable to Auctions by ****. I either want the ring I purchased or a refund.

To help you understand our supplier Empire wholesale jewelry from ************ ********** could not deliver the ring offered at our auction and subsequently offered another ring with a slight variation of a gold bezel around the Center stone. Despite the fact the Centerstone was larger, more valuable And was offered to ************** at lower cost, she insisted on only taking the original ring Offered at the auction and would have no part of the offer made. Of course we understood and did our best in a timely manner to accommodate her however she filed a complaint with BBB on 9/6 2022, three days before she was reimbursed from Stripe.

I am rejecting this response because: I was never offered a better ring and was not given a refund. I had to open a claim with my credit card. I have not received a notice that the dispute has been closed.

Auctions by **** sold me a fake ************************* sculpture. I told ********************* to cancel my bid. He charged my credit card for ******. He denied that. When I called the bank, they verified he did charge my card.He gave me a **** tracking number. I will also contact the US postal inspectors to start a mail fraud complaint.

      Business response

Dear ****************, ************************* won Lot 18A A bronze sculpture signed by ************************* Artist called, Nobility of Time.  When ****************** registered to bed he agreed to our terms and conditions specifically referring to paying for the winning Lot, being responsible for the cost of shipping. Further the Invaluable auction platform has the
Potential bidder Enter a credit card prior to entering the auction; in the event The bidder does not pay for the item within four days of the auction the auction house has the option to apply payment To the bidders unpaid balance.

      Invoice #******* was emailed to
***************** Subsequent to Auction held August 20, 2022.
The Subject invoice included the final bid price, buyers premium, insurance, shipping and handling from ********** ******* to ******************* **********. The package Weight approximately 30 pounds & a large box 20 x 12 x 12. We elected to do in-house shipping in an effort to keep the cost down to benefit ******************* (6)days had passed, the invoice was unpaid and we did not reach ******************, we were ready to ship so we proceeded to charge Mr. ******** card on the Invaluable platform as has been our general procedure many times in the past.
Auctions by **** packaged the Lot on or about August,27 2022.
Once a shipping label is created an email notification is sent to the receiving party from ***** Mr ******* called to say he did not want the bronze rather wanted a refund, he demanded the bronze was fake, we were frauds and if we did not refund his money he had friends in *****, ** who would pay a visit to our office location in **********. ***************** was angry, loud, aggressive, abusive and threatening. We tried to tell him that the bronze was real and he had to prove otherwise by getting some type of authority to justify his claim but he wouldnt let us talk so to avoid further conflict we agreed to request a refund.

To date we have Lot 18A A bronze sculpture signed by ************************* Artist called, Nobility of Time boxed & Labled to ship.

****************** had no valid reason to cancel this purchase, he has never had it in his possession nor has he provided any proof to warrant a refund. Auctions By **** has done everything correctly offering this artwork to Auction buyers and attempting to deliver as quickly as possible.

We have removed *********************** Name from our bidders list and asked Invaluable to do the same.

Auctions By **** had give an accounting to Invaluable and Stripe, Which was completed  and now I have to do the same for *********** Mr. ******** ******************* who is holding the funds until I reply.

      Complaint: 17781563

I am rejecting this response because:
I was told that the Invaluable would cancel the sale. I demanded **** to withdraw my bid prior to end of auction as the item is not authentic. I have received nothing and have done a charge back with my credit card co. The "friend in *****" is not a friend he is a Special agent in *************** that oversees art fraud. *********** said he did not charge my card but rather it was invaluable that did it. If he had sent the counterfeit sculpture, next visit will be the US Postal inspectors that visit every complaint. If They do a full investigation I'm sure they will contact all parties involved.
      Sincerely,

      Resolved
I won Lot 317 on 12 June 2021 from Auctions by **** hosted on the platform Invaluable.com. I paid the invoice on 13 June and had no contact from Auctions by ****. I tried numerous ways to reach out to the company, and contacted Invaluable's customer service to help contact the auction house. They refused to reply. I contacted my credit card company on 20 July to reverse the charges, which was done. However, on 14 September my credit card company contacted me again and stated Auctions by **** had sent them the receipt for the items and the charge was reapplied. I still had no contact from **** to explain where my item was. If I had not reached out again to basically call them crooks I doubt they would have responded. After some extremely hostile communication with this company they sent me tracking info for the item. However, the package was mis-labled and was returned to sender. I have not had any issues with my address missing the city "Auckland" from other packages shipped to me. They are now demanding a further shipping cost because "I" omitted Auckland from the address - this is incorrect, this seems to be an issue with Invaluable's platform, however, as previously stated, NO OTHER company has had issue sending packages to me with the same address. I have attached invoices from Burchard Galleries, Paul Arsenault Auctioneers, Whitley's Auctioneers and Oakwood Auctions for comparison of the addresses. All items from Burchard, Paul Arsenault, Whitley's and Oakwood have been received. I do not know how the address was physically attached to the package. I have asked for evidence. They have not replied. I am so sick of dealing with this company. It is clear from numerous complaints and reviews on Google this is a pattern of behaviour with them. Five months of this has soured my desire to have this object so much that I don't even want it anymore. I don't want to have to deal with this company any more. I just want my money back and to never deal with them again.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2021/11/14) */ I have had sporadic contact with the company. They sent me a photo of the package they "sent" but it was incorrectly labelled. They were demanding more money to reship the item. However, my credit card company have reversed the charge again, so I have my money back. Auctions by **** have the item. As the USPS are not shipping items to NZ due to covid restrictions as of 1 October 2021, and the item was received by them after this date, they returned to sender (Auctions by ****). **** are able to apply to be refunded the shipping costs from USPS. I have my money back. Auctions by **** have the item. I consider the matter closed with them. I would like my complaint with BBB to stand on record for others who have the misfortune of dealing with this company.
