Do not hire Samar roofing, they do a terrible job and will not correct errors..

We at Samar Roofing tried to handle this customer issue.
The Roof has been inspected by the county and passed all inspections.The customer has been happy for a year and now the inspector from the reality company has said there is a issue? The customer has been in the process of selling her house. The inspection she had said the roof wasn't done right around the vents. If the vents weren't put on right the county wouldn't have passed the roof.
Also this customer has a chimney and we are not responsible for that. We didn't have any code violations on this roof and we installed according to code. We are sorry for her problems but we are not responsible for her complaints.

First of all, I am an 80 year old widow, so I never was able to go up on the roof to inspect . It wasn't that I was happy with the roof, I was unaware of the errors. I have video of the county inspector leaving his truck walking up to front door where the permit was, and leaving immediately. He never went up on the roof to inspect. When I contacted my insurance company to see about a decrease in my premiums since I had a new roof, I was told to submit all paper work. I sent all the paper work I had but it was not what they wanted. When I called Samar Roofing for the correct paper I was told there was a $150.00 charge for the inspector to go up on the roof.and sign the paper they wanted. Which I found really odd, But since I would have only saved $50.00 in premiums charges I let it slide. Thls inspector recently was hired by the potential buyer of my home and was from a reputable inspection company. He found the plumbing vents to be unacceptable as they were not covered properly, also some sealing over flashing not done, and the deverter (crickett) that was supposed to be behind the chimney ON THE ROOF. missing. There were other issues which I didn't understand. He would not pass the roof. The potential buyers then backed out of the sale.. I hired 2 reputable roofers at over $200.00 to inspect and they agreed with the inspector. When I contacted Samar Roofing the owner did come but refuses to see anything wrong with the roof or plumbing vents and takes no responsibility for the crickett. I will grant you that nothing about the chimney was included in his contract and what he was going to do. His work is inferior and he never checked on his crew to make sure they were doing things right and I maintain that the roof was never inspected by the county. I guess I should mention that the mess his crew left were dozens of roofing nails in the grass and beds that we all stepped on, soda cans everywhere including in the rain gutter blocking the down spout, sticky drips everywhere from them throwing the soda cans down from the roof and the broken plants and landscaping lights. I do not have the luxury of time to pursue this any further as I have to have this fixed at my expense to continue showing my home for sale. But I feel this has to go on his record to warn other potential customers of his inferior work and that his warranty is useless.. Thank You, ***********
