      first off , I still have not received anything on paper as promised , preliminary itemized quote before ,or after work started. also no notice of any extras or over run problems verbal or written . I never received written warranty as promised . the whole job seems to have been botched from the beginning starting with dates missed without a call or word at all, just left me hanging . then the real screw came when they just tore up and ruined my 5 suntubes(type of skylight ) and basically threw a cheap square skylight over the holes in the roof super heating the attic for over a month, and told me this was all they could do because the ones I had were no longer available .(lied to me plain and simple) then when I found them , and told them ,they changed their tune and said they had to send in a outside company to fix the entire problem(still not fixed satisfactorily because of shadows ) this all started in nov.2021, approved by insurance dec.2021 , promised start date feb2022 and after many missed appointments with many company employees I tried to get hold of the owner/pres . but was un able to till the end. they finally made me sign over all power of the insurance company and work eventually was started and I am guessing its completed to the best of their ability ,but not sure about repair work (feel un safe there) also with no paperwork showing anything at all ,from before work began to during work, (I think they ran days out on the calander just to try to make me more passive ) I believe they are trying to take advantage of my insurance company original verbal quote was the highest of all 5 I got like $26k, insurance approved I think close to 26k but now they are trying to put the charges of their mistakes on the insurance company . I finally did hear from guy beasly , he said he would mail me all the itemized bills from both before work started, and after work was done, also copy of warranty . I have received nothing in the mail. almost doubled the price.

      Business Response /* (1000, 18, 2022/08/10) */ ***Document Attached*** R&R Industries performed all work promised and passed all inspections by the city. We emailed and sent via certified mail all documents requested. We went above and beyond by working around Mr. ******* schedule to perform the work. We did not damage any skylights there were in the scope of work to remove and replace. We did have to replace the skylights with solar tubes and admitted Mr. ******* that we made a mistake and apologized. We corrected the skylights within two weeks. Mr. ******* did not find the skylights, we have a relationship with skylight company and we never told him they were not available. We have tried on numerous occasions to reach Mr. ******* to get this resolved as he still has not paid us for the work with the exception of a $1,000.00 deposit. If Mr. ******* would return my calls we could get this resolved. Consumer Response /* (3000, 20, 2022/08/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) the registered letter was not the info I asked for, and they do not return my texts any longer that I have now required for for proof of conversation. the insurance company soon will not cover the claim because it will run out of time , r&r told me they are taking care of all paperwork from insurance company ,and for me not to cash the checks the ins co sent me . I have not . most of this is just hog wash as far as I can tell. everything they say verbally does not ever wash, thats why they will not give me text or email confirmation on anything. they said they would take care of everything, and they have not . I do not know how to do files or things on the computer really, thats why I told them from the start I want actual paperwork. they said it would probably be both, and so far neither . Unfortunately, due a medical issue and emergency surgery we were not able to email the information again to the client to resolve the issue. John is not my original contact, and not to sound heartless , but this is just one more time he/R&R has just left me hanging without a word , then to come back a while later with an excuse and a sorry. he is not the company ,and someone else from the company should had notified me of problems before or at the time of appointments if going to be missed . This has never been the case since the start back in November of 2021, I make the calls to find out why they missed our appointments, no one answers ever , then days later I get the same "sorry yada yada yada excuse's " and another date/appointment set up to come and go without another word from them. John has just been put in as a middle man per Guy(owner of r&r) and when asking him about all this special treatment I have received, and excessive bill padding he yelled at me "I DID THE WORK ,I EXPECT TO GET PAID ! DEAL WITH JOHN !" AND HUNG UP AND BLOCKED ME ON HIS PHONE. John has been the one to let things just fall apart time after time , and continues to do so . this John deal has been going on for months with the insurance company , and they are not happy with him either . The depreciation (insurance term for claim time allowance) is real close to running out, or may have by now. I am not paying for their mistakes , and do not expect the insurance company to . Please see attached. At this point we forwarded this file to our legal team. My understanding is that Mr. ******* reached out to our attorney and we are in the process of resolving this amicably. Ihave not received anything from john as far as a settlement offer , just the lean on my house. I did call the attorney ,and he said he would send me info , but like r&r it was just more hot air . also I still have no idea why there was ever a lien placed on my home? I never refused to pay ever ! But I am at that point now ! I will never pay or let my insurance pay the padded bill of double their original est. once I have proof the lean is removed ,they can come pick up the check . I have not received any requested info from anyone ie; attorney , or r&r about warranty , and now I would have no faith in them honoring any warranty once paid. they started all this for some reason , I have no clue as to why . I never held payment, they told me they would take care of everything including the insurance company paying them. now I had to put over 40 hours on the phone with the insurance company to get it paid . the settlement makes no mention at all of warranty . my guess is they are going out of business , and I have no warranty at this point. not to mention , their work track record with me (not a good record at all) is not worth enough to affectively enforce a warranty without more battle, and lost time for me. I am probably going to spend most of this money on a legal battle if they do not want to resolve this sooner than later , all over their lack of communicating, or following through on anything they have promised to date. I am fed up, and not happy. and no one cares what it costs me in man hours or lost confidence in this company and my large investment. they were the one that told me it was insurance work, and I am now guessing thats why the original quote went out the window without a word to me from them until the insurance company asked me for proof of loss, and they (r&r) would not give me any info except they would handle it, and they did not. thats what held up payment, their foul play, and misleading tactics have gone far enough with me . they really have no resolution I am guessing or they would not had put the lean on my house. I can file a notice to commence suit , that would cost them more money yet, and I really do not think they would win a thing, and like I say. I do not have a comfortable warranty so i'm willing to spend the time and money in court. I already paid $1000 and have the original quote from their man Mathew .I am so tired of this whole thing , and the time and money in man hours for me should be worth something . like I said also , this was never a legal issue as much as they try to bully me .the draft is still here, and needs to be signed by both parties , but like I say, that will not effectively enforce any type of warranty.

      R&R industries, Inc. had roofing consultant Jeff P***** perform awful job on my roof and Florida room. They provided contract which states they would place aluminum drip edge. Instead galvanized drip edge was installed. Contractor removed siding to protect home and never notified me nor replaced it. Roofing consultant, Jeff P*****, tried twice to replace roofing on Florida room but he left it worse than original. Roofing consultant, Jeff P*****, left rotted wood on roof which he did not replace it. Roofing consultant, Jeff P*****, used galvanized nails for the shingles. Because I live between the ocean and the river, nails will be rotted in a couple of years. Below is the report from independent roofer. "What we found in our assessment of the flat roof area over your Florida room is as follows: Contractor used a 1/8" tapered system instead of the 1/4" system that is required to get the proper slope for adequate drainage from the low slope roof. Flat roof material was dead ended into the wall using L flashing to terminate instead of turning material up the wall with K flashing. Galvanized drip edge was used on the entire roof (pitch and low slope) and should have been aluminum due to proximity to brackish body of water. Shingle nails used should be stainless steel due to brackish water proximity. Sales representative responsible for the contract should have informed customer about proper materials (aluminum drip edge and stainless steel roofing nails) due to brackish water proximity and presented customer with option to upgrade contract to recommended materials." R&R Industries, Inc, is stalling to make things right. My solar panels have been on the grass for over one month. Because of the galvanized drip edge, I have not been able to install gutters. President of R&R wants me to provide "party/person you have consulted with that has issued an opinion on the roofing job performed by R&R Industries" I just want a refund.

      Business Response /* (1000, 29, 2022/08/11) */ Despite meeting all of Ms. *******'s demands, she still has not returned a call from the company to allow us access to her property. Here are the facts: 1. Ms. ******* was referred to R&R from other happy customers. 2. All filings regarding the permit, along with Florida Product Approval, were successfully submitted to the Building Department. 3. During the initial installation, R&R made a mistake and did not install tapered insulation to a small roof section. At our expense, we removed the brand new roofing and replaced the section properly. 4. Ms. *******'s roof has had the following inspections A) the primary inspector is the most code compliant inspector in the area. He found no defects and B) the Chief Building Official inspected it after an initial complaint and found the job to be a very good installation of a new roof. 5. Ms. ******* continues to take the advice of people that may or may not be licensed and accepting their version as the truth. In reality, there is not an architect, engineer or building official that would declare this a bad job. When we made a mistake we promptly remedied it. Otherwise, it is a good job. There is some chimney flashing to clean up, but we will not go there without her present. The ball is in her court. Finally, we have all become convinced that Ms. ******* is trying to get something for free. We have no intention of humoring a request for discount. This is bad business. They do not care about the customer. They did a very poor job and used the lowest quality material. We installed the roof meeting all building codes and have attached the PASSED inspection report from the City of Daytona Beach. Their defective and under-industry standard work has now cost me additional fees in having the work brought up to standard.
