We gave out 1.5 year old Weimaraner to ******** for babysitting while we were visiting family in another state for two weeks. The day before we had to pick up our baby around 9:30pm, ******** sends us pictures and a text that our dog is sick. We asked when did this start and with a nasty attitude she stated it just started. Based on her text and pictures, our **** was broken out in allergies, had open wounds on his body and his ****** looked like it was falling off. We had to beg her to take him to the emergency vet. Once our dog was at the vet, based on meds given and after speaking to the doctor, it was determined that our baby was neglected and abused. He was kept in a crate for the duration of his boarding. Besides the allergies outbreak due to anxiety he developed while crated, he had wounds from banging on the crate. Both of his front paws were swollen and bleeding, his nose was banged up and his ****** was inflamed and bleeding, additionally our baby lost 10lbs based on his previous weight. Prior to bringing him we confirmed with her on text that **** will not be crated the entire time to which she promised only night crating, she told us there will only be 5 dogs, she will be home on 4th of July as hes scared of fireworks and she will keep us updated with pictures and will even go over some of the training. She was annoyed every time we asked for an update or pictures, one of the pics she sent was from the surveillance camera of him in the crate. And here is the kicker, when **** was picked up ( we had to arrange pickup by different babysitting service) there were 15 dogs crated instead of 4 as promised, and some were inside and some crated outside. We were in shock. If we knew all that we would never give our baby to her, we have other sitter that we used in the past and would always get a happy doggie back.
