On Easter Sunday we ordered a cake online from Cold Stone. We were charged $35 for the cake and wait time was 1/2 an hour. When my daughter arrived to pick it up she was told it wasn't ready (they no longer have ready made cakes available in the cooler) The employee told her it would take another half and hour for him to make the cake so she waited. After 25 minutes he told her that he did not have the items he needed to make the cookies and cream ice cream cake. My daughter said that it was no problem and that we would take any ice cream cake that was available. He then told her that they didn't have anything there to make any cakes. My daughter then requested a refund and he said that he was unable to process the refund but he would give all of her information to his boos, the store owner, and that she would contact my daughter that Monday morning. She never called. Since Easter we've bee in the store multiple times and the owner/manager is never there. I've asked the employees to relay the messages and to contact. I have also called the owner and left several messages and she has refused to return any calls or messages. I have also contacted Cold Stone's corporate offices to file a complaint and receive a refund. Unfortunately, I was told that since the stores are franchises there isn't much they can do but file the complaint and ask the store owner to contact us. I was promised a call within 48 hours. Since last Wednesday, the 27th I've been waiting for a response. I also called ************* and left several messages with them, no luck although they promise a return call within 24 hours. All I want is for the store owner to refund my daughter's credit card for the $35. My daughter contacted her bank and filed a dispute but they are trying to prove that she did not receive the cake. In addition, I'd like to comment on the fact that there are never any adults present at this store, it is being run by children and that's where the problems arise.
