This is not a positive review whatsoever. Their estimate was reasonable and felt that I had properly made all arrangements for my move to another state well over 30 days in advance to ensure scheduling for closing dates would coincide. I called a several weeks later as they indicated I needed to ensure moving dates. I did so. They also assured me that by 10 days before the move, the movers would be in contact with me to verify all information and dates. A few days after the 10 days before scheduled move day had passed, I called, texted, and emailed both the estimator and the office no less than 10 times over the course of a few days to verify the move and dates. I did NOT hear one peep from them in any form. I had hard closing dates and by the fifth day before moving day I had to hire a name brand mover and they responded and came through as promised. Meanwhile, apparently the movers that Lady Liberty (LL) contracted with contacted me the day before the move to let me know they would be at my home the next day. They also told me that LL didnt schedule this with them three days before they called me. I told them the above story and they actually were shocked and apologetic on behalf of LL. Now, I must go after them for my deposit. In my opinion, they did NOT schedule the move until three days before the move after I pestered them in spite of my best efforts to schedule weeks in advance. How can anyone plan this any worse in spite of my best efforts for this move to be seamless? STAY AWAY from them.Review from Alek C

This is NOT a moving company. They are moving brokers. Should have been my first warning. How the scheme works is that they charge you up front for booking a move with another 3rd party moving company. They do a brief inventory over the phone with you about how much stuff you have, give you an estimate, and hook you up with another moving company. They hook you up with shady movers in their "network" that will move your stuff for you at "reasonable" prices. Prices so low that you will wonder how they even make money. And that is because your stuff will go missing. As an example, they booked me with Gin and Lous moving services LLC based out of **************** **. A company that ONLY accepts CASH and has roughly 200 reviews from users all based out of ********** and *********. The very few reviews of these people from legitimate accounts all report that their stuff was stolen. Because that is how they are making their money. They take your cash and your stuff and there is nothing you will be able to do about it. Luckily I caught this before ever letting them anywhere near me or my stuff.Once you have paid your deposit to Lady Liberty and a measly 3 days have gone by since your original call with them, the deposit money is forfeit and you will never be able to get a hold of these people again. BUT they will keep calling to gather more information from me about your stuff in order to raise the amount that is owed them directly in the initial deposit. My deposit went from $1000 to $1300 but when I wanted to remove items they just said the movers would reimburse me. Luckily I am only out the $1,300. I could have very well followed through with this if I did not listen to my gut and would have had my entire livelihood and more money taken from me. They can point to their fine print all they want to justify their actions. The reality is, they are brokers that use loopholes to get their money instead of providing a full service like any normal company would.Review from Kimberly L

The company required a deposit of $1000 at first. Called back told my husband they needed $750 more. After $1750, no one showed up to move us. Got the run around from the company, no service and no refund of the deposit. This place is a ****!Lady Liberty Moving LLC Response

Lady Liberty Moving does not condone maliciousness of any kind and "********" is one of them. The ************* family was contacted and quoted in May for a Move in July. The deposit was $1000 and that was used to set up the logistics for the move. A second, quality assurance call was performed in order to make sure more items do not need to be added or taken off the list of items. The additions were equivalent to $750 more. Scheduled to move for the 1st-2nd of July the family contacted us stating they want to push the pick-up dates with 2 weeks. Having already scheduled a truck for them, we had to call the carrier and reassign the move at no charge. In addition, a Completion of Services Agreement was signed a week prior to the scheduled move. Now two months later, we are notified that the customer did not use the truck assigned to them and decided to go with a different company and perform the move themselves. With our clients' best interest at heart, Lady Liberty has done the necessary precautions to ensure a successful move. We believe we have done our part and have earned the deposit in full as the customer have agreed and signed in the mentioned above document.Review from C. S.

BEWARE We were relocating out of state and chose Lady Liberty based on some favorable reviews. They were friendly on the phone, walked my husband through the process, and kept communicating frequently. We told them were needed the truck ** in ****** no later than 2 days after the move. They stated this was no problem, the drivers will load the truck and depending on the time of day would leave the same day or the next day. The website and what we paid for also included white glove service meaning, they would take apart and wrap the furniture, sofa, fridge, washer, dryer, etc. The price quoted was $8,174 for a total of **** cubic feet. For the final accounting of items, , we added some additional items we missed-outdoor stones-three sets, a mini fridge, and portable on-wheels bucket, and various smaller items. The new total is $11,151 for **** cubic feet. Ok, fair enough. The movers come and the company is a different name, Bravo Moving. To our total surprise, we learn Lady Liberty is a broker. This is NOT disclosed on their website. We would have not used them as we want to know who is actually moving our belongings. The movers brought a 26 ft truck that holds **** cubic feet, which should be fine based on the contract for moving **** cubic feet.. My husband noticed how they were packing the truck that, all space was not used, and they were leaving gaps. He mentions this to the lead mover who says we know how to pack the truck. Fast forward the full **** cubic feet were packed and they now wanted an additional $4,224! And to boot, they told us the three rock items were not being taken. We paid for these to be moved in our agreement. The owner of Bravo-******************* said he would move them for $300 and accused us of lying that the items were included and we had to send the contract to him. He then relented and put them in the truck that was FULL (with a lot of empty spaces as my husband had noted) so now, since the truck went to **** cubic feet, they now wanted anLady Liberty Moving LLC Response

We apologize *******************, Our website is still under construction as we had to redo it due to numerous bugs and flaws. We are not in the business of misleading our customers and/or deceitful practices. In our contracts it states that we are a broker and that we work with a tight network of qualified carriers. In addition, during our conversations with our client we have never stated otherwise. It is a competitive industry and we understand that some companies will try and twist the facts just to earn the business but we are not one of them. Just because we are a broker that does not mean we do not go "the extra mile" serving and assisting our customers. Lady Liberty kept communicating frequently as we are supposed to do as your advocates through this whole process. We are still working with you towards your claim with carrier. We do apologize for the bad experience and are here till the very end to fight for you so that you are attended and all problems are resolved, we also have now dropped this particular carrier because of your complaint and will make sure this don't occur again. If you have anything else you need from us please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at ************.Customer Response
