I hired a moving company- Alliance Vanlines (FL/ ************ / www.alliancevanlineservices.com/ DOT#: *******). They seemed fine and I paid my initial deposit of about $900. Then, they hired out another company (I did not know then, but found out later)- Insta Movers (********/ ************/ www.insta-mover.com/DOT#-3080112) to conduct the move. I paid $1,110.00 on July 2, 2022 for the pick up of my 1-bedroom move items. It was a move from ******, ** to **************, ****. I had gotten a $600 discount for being a student. I was also told that my move was "easy to fit in that week" because they had a similar one in ******, ** out west, so I would be easy to lump with them. They told me I would pay the additional $1,111.00 upfront when the items arrive. Well, I have called 2 times per week since the July 2nd date. Sometimes I get hung up on and sometimes I get a person who says "no update." I was told that my items should be here **** days from the start. They then changed it to **** business days (not weekends)... even though my items were picked up on a weekend day. Then, I recently was told that they technically have 21 business days, but that I might get $25 per day late past the 21 days. Well, I was never notified of this. I also did not know until the *** OF the initial pickup that Allied Vanlines hired out the TERRIBLY REVIEWED Insta Movers company. It has been 22 business days and I called again today to check in. Yesterday- one woman assured me that my items were getting scheduled this week and I should get an update very soon with a date for delivery. Well...today- the person I got on the phone said well, there is no update. I have no update. I gave my move number and info and he said it wasn't even scheduled and he knew nothing on it. I need my items and I need a partial if not full refund. This is the worst experience and this company is deceitful. They have lied since the start and mislead the customers. I am out work and money due to the delays.
