I cannot recommend this facility to anyone based on my experience with the Store Manager, who did not present herself with her name, today 4/19/2024, as I'm in the process of exiting the unit. Originally, as I had asked about removal of a stove and some boxes, she had told me that they could do it for $75 and just leave it accessible. Today, she changed her story and billed me $250. Not only did she grossly misinform me about the fees, for which I did not agree to, but she is extremely rude and would not let me answer her questions. The Store Manager refused to give out the contact information of the business owner, *******. Upon asking for *******'s email address, she refused to provide it. Instead, she said I could email her, and she would forward it, which is likely not to happen. I tried to call back and briefly talked to one of the associates, *******, but to no avail, as the Store Manager was in the background ordering ******* to hang up on me. I tried to look up Storage America on Sunbiz.org, but it shows that the business registration is inactive. They may be using a different name officially or may not be current on their registration. The management of this company is beyond hostile and rude, in addition to predatorily assessing fees that are far beyond any reason fees. Not to mention, the Store Manager lied about what fees would be charge. Do not do business with them. They are h*** to terminate a lease with.

Hi ******, we're sorry to hear that your experience was not as pleasant. Per the lease agreement it states that when you move out, the unit has to be in the same conditions as we rented the unit, empty, clean, lock removed and nothing inside. As the office manager, I do remember that we talked about leaving behind a stove only. I gladly helped you and said that just for the stove it will be $75.00. Is a cleaning fee and disposal fee. That is stated on the move out policy signed by you. You said let me think about it and will get back to you. I don't recall a bill for $250.00. Nothing was charged to your account or billed. We gladly told you to please come to the facility and remove the items left in the unit before the end of the month. Nothing has been removed from the unit.
