Dick's moving is the worst moving company I have ever used! On Feb 11, 2022 we moved across the state (from Beverly Hills Florida to Palm Coast, Florida) and they had to store about 10000 pounds of our goods for three months while we waited to close on our home. When they finally delivered our goods we found numerous items missing and my antique cabinet had a side kicked in. I notified Dick's right away and only wanted my step ladder and shop vacuum replaced and the cabinet repaired. I just found out that they only put 60 cents per pound of insurance on their moves and I am entitled to $54.00 total for the damage and missing items. The cabinet alone will cost several hundred dollars to repair and the vacuum and ladder are another couple of hundred dollars (I didn't even try to get back a bunch of other stuff they stole). When I informed them of this, they said that I signed a legal binding document and that was it. I would like my cabinet repaired by a professional and my step ladder and shop vacuum replaced.

3/23/2022 pick up of my household, delivery in Pa on 3/28/2022. Cost $4,739.61 to wrap furniture and load truck, deliver and unload in Pa. 5 men came and loaded. Upon delivery there was no one to unload. My landlord and his son, my daughter and fiancé, my sister and brother in-law unloaded. Driver paid my landlord & his son for the work. I'm the one that paid for the service that I did not receive. Had various items broken and or missing. Filed a claim in April to which I still have not had settled. Among those items, a brand new rowing machine was missing, Bose stereo had to be repaired and various other items smashed. In every effort to get a response from the company they would tell me they just got back in the office and would get back to me, every time I'd reach out they would drag it out. I would assume in hopes that I would just let it go. I list my spouse end of November 2021, had to sell our Florida home due to financial constraints and move back north. Then to have this company not even acknowledge my claim. I finally told them that I would contact the better business bureau and got a response but have not heard back since. She told me that they were not responsible for electronics and could only allow.60 cents on a lb. Of which they are estimating 60lbs. For a claim over $1337.00. After they told me that I didn't need to buy the extra insurance as it was expensive. I pray that no one else has to go through this with them.

I was moved by dicks on 9/2/21 and I complained to office during the move that the men were not wearing masks because they were unvaccinated. several hours later I again called the office because I saw the men playing with my belongings and they were taking frequent breaks. the men did not have a cordless drill so I and the men used my cordless drill, when finished I told the men that I would label the box with drills in it so could easily find on the other end. after the move I also voiced these concerns to general manager. Fast forward three weeks and had a different group unload me. I found the box labeled drills and there were two drills along with their chargers missing from box I asked the man unloading me and he said to check other boxes I went to office and discussed matter with office manager. I suggested theft and we discussed watching surveillance tapes. I called office again to tell her of 2 sewing machines missing but never heard back

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/11/22) */ Customer did call in a complaint about the men not wearing masks. A call was made to the men on the job, at that time they did wear masks for the remainder of the time at her home. She also called and stated they were "swinging around a sword that was in her closet". The men stated they had moved the sword out of the way to get the items in the closet that we were moving. The customer could not identify the men properly to let us know who was doing it. She referred to them as "the black one", "the heavy one", and "the skinny one" She did come into the office and accuse the men of stealing her drill from a box. As requested by the customer the cameras were reviewed. There was no evidence of the men removing her belongings from said box. Upon talking with customer she stated the box was sealed but did not contain her items once she unpacked them. Items that are considered "packed by owner" are not covered under insurance but in good faith, the customer was provided with a claim form to fill out and return to our office. As of today 11/22/21 we have not received the claim form back from her. There was not a noted complaint including sewing machines.
