I went to get my hair done on 4/12/24. I told the hair dresser I needed a trim and to go blonder while keeping my roots brown at their natural color. As the hair dresser was going to rinse out my hair I questioned why she didn’t bleach all of my head like asked and even told her to go ahead and use the extra bleach but that never happened. I was unaware that she had bleached my roots after I went over how many times I need them to stay brown for when my hair starts to grow in. She told me not to look in the mirror until she finished blow drying my hair which seemed unusual and suspicious. She then proceeded to cut my hair unevenly and I even mentioned it to her while I was still in the salon. After I got home that night, I noticed an entire section underneath my head was missed and still brown, not to mention turned orange. I asked her if she could fix it and even offered to pay her again and she ignored me. I waited till the next morning for a response and never got one. I explained to her that she didn’t give me what I asked for and bleached to the top of my roots and didn’t completely finish bleaching my hair.. I paid for a full head of bleach, and didn’t receive that. I asked for a refund and was told no and there is “nothing wrong with my hair” but if anyone saw it they would see the section that was completely missed and is now orange.Business response

Alexis came in for her scheduled color service appointment. She showed me a picture of a highlighted blonde, which is exactly what I provided. I told her in her consultation that I wasn’t comfortable “bleaching” her hair because her hair is way too compromised from previous damage. I told her not to peek as I was blow drying like I do all of my new customers because love seeing the reactions from my customers of their new colors. She was very pleased with her color and stated “wow! You really didn’t play around!” She seemed very satisfied at my salon. Later that night she starts sending me text messages threatening to report me if I didn’t provide a free service or refund her money. I told her I do not give refunds. I provided the service she agreed to and told her there is absolutely nothing wrong with her hair. I never agreed to “bleach” her hair. There is a difference in a heavy highlight and an on the scalp bleach. Had we bleached her hair, the damage would have been substantial. And had she informed me at my salon that she was dissatisfied I would have been more than happy to discuss the next steps.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
As stated in the picture above she agreed to do a FULL HEAD OF BLEACH. In which I PAID FOR. I PAID for a FULL head of bleach. After she stated she will not bleach it I told her my hair hadn’t been touched by bleach for half a year (6 entire months) and I wanted my entire head bleached. If she wasn’t doing that full head of bleach like I PAID FOR she should have been willing to give me some of my money back considering I paid for a service I DID NOT RECEIVE. Not to mention, she cut my hair extremely uneven and when I got it fixed inches had to be taken off for it to be EVEN AGAIN. It shouldn’t matter when I have mentioned that I was dissatisfied with my hair or not, a proper business should try to fix their mistake wether they agree with it or not. It’s about the customers, and I didn’t like my hair and she refused to fix it. My roots were bleached, my hair was uneven, and I left with orange and completely missed sections in my hair! Not to mention, the first time I texted her I asked her if she could fix it for me and I would PAY HER AGAIN. She left out the part that my first FEW MESSAGES were ignored :) I didn’t jump straight to any threats at all. I gave her a chance to redeem herself in a nice manner. She ignored my messages so then I texted her again and asked for a partial or full refund and she accused me of “harassment” which isn’t the case because I wasn’t harassing her I was asking for my money back since she wanted to ignore me. She then told me “good luck” because according to her there was “nothing wrong with my hair” and my reasoning for reporting to her to BBB wasn’t “real” which isn’t her decision to make! It was very clearly messed up. And if there was nothing wrong with my hair and my reasoning wasn’t real enough for her, I wonder why my complaint was approved by the BBB.
Sincerely,
Alexis ********
