March 06, 2023 Contract signed with Alamar Aluminum Systems, **** for materials and installation of insulated roof and lanai on our home.March 16, 2023 paid $19,250 in 2 checks (copies attached) for materials, installation, and permit application fees.We were told it would take 6-8 weeks for materials and permit approval.In May we attempted to get status via ******, office manager. She said they had our materials and assured me she had submitted the application for the permit.I repeatedly attempted to contact the company at all available contact numbers for any update, but they would not respond to any of my phone calls, texts or messages via ********* Approximately June 26, 2023, my husband, ****** went in person to our local city permitting office to get a status and spoke to *******. Alamar had erroneously submitted the permit as doors and windows instead of what it was actually for and did not submit all the necessary documentation needed. Furthermore, he was informed the permit had not been submitted until 06/06/2023, despite us being told otherwise by *******July 13, 2023, went in person again to permit office and nothing had been submitted by Alamar to correct the requested missing information and documentation.Again, numerous attempts have been made to contact Alamar Aluminum with no response.Tuesday, July 18, 2013, I received a text message from ******************* @ Alamar Aluminum stating he had a telephone appointment at 12 pm that day with the building department. He has never responded to my inquiries asking how the appointment went. July 25, 2023, we contacted ************** *********************** once again, they have never received any updated information nor is there a record of his phone appointment with the building department.At this point, due to breach of contract by Alamar Aluminum Systems Inc., we would like a full refund of all monies paid to Alamar Aluminum Systems, INC.Attached is all documentation pertaining to our contract.Business response

On behalf of all of us here at Alamar Aluminum Systems, ***** we strive to give our clients the respect and timely correspondence they deserve. In regard to the claim submitted by the West family and their business with us, I'd like to respond accordingly. The timeline of events that took place from the signing of their contract to the present day, setbacks and delays have been an unfortunate factor and we are addressing this issue with the utmost importance. As stated in Alamar Aluminum System's contract, we cannot control or delegate when engineering or permitting requests will be rendered 'complete.' I absolutely understand the frustration that ************* has felt throughout this process, and I sympathize with her, truly. In an effort to prevent situations such as this, I have created a Project Review Status letter that will be provided to each client. We are a small family company that has been in business since the 70's. When Hurricane *** hit the south, we became extremely attentive to the residents of the affected areas and getting their homes restored was of high priority. Mrs. ****** project is of no lesser importance to our company, but simply took longer than expected and the permitting process required multiple revisions. I have spoken with ************* since then and I believe we are on common ground and hope to continue doing business with them. Alamar Aluminum Systems, **** has been and continues to be a reputable company and we apologize for the mistakes made along the way. We have abided by our contract and will make sure to avoid situations like this in the future. Word of mouth is how we have maintained a steady reputation and I hope to have this permit closed and project completed within the next weeks to come. We are doing our due diligence to ensure a happy, healthy relationship with our client, **********************
