      On 6/18/22 I gave Steve Bourget $1,400 for a 50% deposit on rescreening my pool enclosure. I havent seen him since. He returned phone calls a few times, after I left multiple messages and texts. Each time he promised a date to start work. Each time, he missed the promised date, but with a new excuse (vacation, sick relative, big job in progess, etc).My last contact with him was on 8/22. I called on 8/22 to confirm that he would arrive today (8/22) as promised, and on the same day he returned my call and said he was in ************** on a family emergency and it would be a couple of days at least before he could start (a couple of days would be around 8/25 or 8/26.)I never heard from him again.On As of 9/1, I hadnt heard from him. So on 9/1/22 I sent the following message: Please return my deposit of $1,400. Make the check out to me and mail it to my address, and I gave him the address (again).I told him I had decided that it looked like he wasnt going to do the work, based his history of either not responding to calls or texts and always putting me off for some excuse or another. (vacation, on a big job, family emergency, etc) so I would find someone else. As of today, 10/24/22, I still havent heard from him.Bottom line: He took my deposit and disappeared.

      Steve Bourget was hired to rescreen my pool enclosure. They did a good job however some of the enclosure I had asked to be left open due to a siding project going on. Steve did that and said to call him when they were finished and they would come back out and finish it. I called for several weeks before they returned my call. When Steve did return my call he stated he would be out to finish the job the following week. This was not done and now once again they will not return my calls. I had also paid $1,000 for him to put in a fence that has not been done. I would like the enclosure completed and my $1000.00 for the fence returned. Guess I should have known since when he took the money he stated " I don't know when it will be done".

      On 6/24/2021 Steve Bourget came to our home to provide an estimate for purchase and installing a 4 panel sliding door system for our 2 car garage. We decided to hire him and he stated he would need $1000 to cover the cost of the supplies in advance. He also stated that supplies were delayed several weeks due to Covid related shipping issues (which we heard on the news - so believed it). We would check in with Steve every few weeks on the status. Sometimes he would return the call, sometimes he did not. He told us that the supplies came in, however, he was out of town taking care of a sick relative. We called him again when he told us he would be back in town. He then stated he had Covid, so we gave him a few extra weeks. Then he delayed to to a Birthday party for his daughter. We then finally reached him again and had scheduled a date for install for 10/2. He never showed. We have called him almost daily since and have not received any response. We would like a full refund.

      Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2021/10/29) */ Customer Response taken verbally by BBB: The homeowner is absolutely thrilled with the quality of work and level of professionalism displayed during the install. The complaint was a result of miscommunication. Even with the miscommunication said homeowner would absolutely recommend Steve and his company moving forward.
