Walked into my home without permission (no knock). Never receive permission/approval to change the capacitor of my AC unit. Does not stand behind work Stated that I had mold On June 27th 2023 I sent a message to **** as he was the neighborhood recommended AC guy as my AC was making an odd noise but was cooling. On June 30th 2023 **** was sent a follow up message regarding our in home AC unit making a bubbling noise and how it has become a longer noise. **** was able to come out the same day. That morning **** said he will be in around 10:30. I had a quick work call a few minutes before this time and before I knew it **** was inside my house... And I say that as in he walked inside my home without knocking on the door. My husband was down stairs and was very thrown off and angry. No one absolutely no one outside the people of a home should walk into someone's house. At the time my call was finished right at the 10:30 mark and **** walked outside was already stating that the capacitor on my AC did not match and that he was on the phone with the factory and it needed to be replaced. Without approval or questions that was the first thing that he did replaced and all without any idea of how much that would cost. After that he went inside and started opening up the inside unit and immediately stating there was mold... That to fix this I need a UV light. From my understanding an AC company can not tell you have mold without it being tested.. From there he said he would do some cleaning and unclog the drain that is near the inside unit.. NOT once did he ever listen to the noise that I was having issues with.. He performed a maintenance service that I did not ask for.. After all that he of course wanted to collect payment so he said he would give me a neighbor discount of $95 and parts discount of $40 our bill was $544! And was charged $183 for a nitrogen tank apparently that was used to clean the inside of the unit... Quite a bit of money to be used on something that I have no visibility on? Here we are almost two months later August 26, 2023 I came home and my AC again is making the same noise and our unit was not on it was 82 degrees in my home. I immediately tried draining the pipe and was able to get the AC to cut back on. And eventually got the temperature back down. A few moments later I sent a message to **** stating the issue of what occurred and how angry and furious that the problem was not fixed. And his response after all that was that it was good that it lasted in the hottest months of the summer for almost two months and that he could not provide me a refund. For me that says and tells A LOT! He obviously does not back up his own work that he completed. After $544 and all that was put in not once did he ever say maybe I shouldn’t input all this time and work if realistically I needed a new AC unit as it is 16 years old. I would have much rather put the money into that. He stated that he could give me a refund on the capacitor that I NEVER approved to replace or that needed to be replaced. After having another AC person come out that day August 26 he immediately checked the inside and said there is no way that this was cleaned two months ago and if you see the pictures you can compare not much of a difference from the June date to August. And before he started doing anything he mentioned all the cost and what would need to be done and he said realistically you would be better off getting a new AC unit since putting more money into it would not make sense. With all this being said as business owner **** himself he did not back up his own work. Walked straight into my home and now claiming that he did not even though I have my husband and my youngest son saying that he just walked in yelling for my name “*****”. Claimed that I had mold and never tested. Never once asked for approval to change out the
