I purchased a vehichle 2 months ago that began having problems immediately. The owner did nothing to try to make it right except tell me I have to pay his mechanics and buy parts. This falls under the lemon law for selling me a faulty vehichle when he knew it had some major issues. He never disclosed those issues to me. He actually lied to me and told me the problem was much smaller. He even had his mechanic lie to me.Business response

This consumer purchased a vehicle from us at the beginning of April 2022. ****** brought her husband ("****"), which she claimed was a mechanic, to inspect the vehicle. The husband "****" confirmed to everybody that he couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle and encouraged her to purchase it. He also told her that if anything mechanical was to go wrong with it, that he could fix it. You can contact one of our technicians to verify that this occurred. ********* ***** ********.
This consumer is saying that there was mechanical issues with her vehicle, that we some how knew about. This was a 2012 GMC terrain with over 100k miles. The initial issue she thought that she may have was an oil leak. We have not yet looked at the vehicle to even know what is wrong with it. We invited her to bring it to us for a FREE diagnostic, but she kept saying she was too busy with work.
Many weeks passed ("2 months") ...and she called us and told us that her AC went out on her and she wanted us to fix it. If you look at the contract that we gave her, it clearly says that she is responsible for all repairs after purchase, but that we would help her by sourcing parts at discounted prices and by providing deeply discounted labor rates. In her complaint, she is trying to say that both of these benefits are some how a bad thing? There is no warranty for a used vehicle like this and all a reputable business can do is help provide savings when possible. We scheduled to have her come in on Friday 6/3/22 to have a mechanic diagnose the issue...she showed up un-announced thursday, a day early and demanded that we stop what we were doing to look at her vehicle. Again, you can ask ********* this, as he was the technician that she communicated her demands to. He briefly listened to what she had to say and then basically told her that she needed to see the other technician that had the equipment and training to properly diagnose her AC issue. She got upset and left.
On 6/3/22, this consumer sent an emotionally charged text message to us... going on and on about repairs to her vehicle...and all kinds of silly accusations that don't make any sense. Then on the 6/5/22 she sent another TEXT message saying that basically, if we don't fix her vehicle, that she is going to file a complaint. We are NOT obligated to fix anything as clearly written in the attached agreement. We will not be ... "intimidated"....OR.... "coerced" ...into paying money for repairs under threat of being complained against. That bullying tactic will NOT work on us.
This lady is delusional and needs mental help...more than mechanical help.
If you have any questions on this complaint, let me know. I can provide screen shots of the text messages also, just let me know.
Sincerely,
