Complaint against Jessie's Home Cleaning, exposing their misleading pricing practices and billing discrepancies. The disparity between the prices advertised on their website and the actual charges incurred during on-site services is concerning. Additionally, they mandate a $75 non-refundable deposit, which, contrary to common practice, does not contribute toward the cost of the service. The first red flag emerged during the initial cleaning on 10/17, where the billed amount soared to approximately $475, comprising $400 for the service and an additional $75 deposit. The second instance on 11/15 saw a charge of $395 ($320 + $75), further intensifying skepticism. What adds to the frustration is a pre-service inquiry on the second occasion, seeking an estimate around $250. Despite this inquiry, the post-service explanation included a miscalculation and extended cleaning time, justifying the elevated charges. Notably, they asserted that the cleaning would require two hours, with additional fees for each half-hour beyond that. However, video evidence disputes this claim, revealing only a 90-minute service duration. Attempts to address these concerns with the owner, both through a phone call and subsequent emails, have been met with silence. No acknowledgment or resolution has been provided despite presenting evidence of the shorter cleaning duration and seeking clarification on the billing discrepancies. The essence of this BBB complaint revolves around the need for fair billing practices, transparent communication, and rectification of the misleading pricing displayed on their website. It is my hope that BBB intervention will facilitate a resolution to these issues and prevent others from falling victim to similar practices. Please note my home is a three bedroom one bathroom, totally 1200 sq feet.
