When my AC went out, i contacted Elite and a few other outfits. Elite came out the next day (over an hour away), checked out my 20 year old system and offered a better unit at a great price. Today I had ************************* come out to do a check up. He was prompt, polite, efficient and was in an out in less than 30 minutes. Great customer service. Ive recommended this company to a couple of my neighbors and a few people on social media. Elite is a top shelf outfit and I will be calling them for any future HVAC needs.

Elite AC installed ****** HVAC in March 2019. The same year Sep 2019 we were told zone board gone bad and we paid $600. In July 2022, we were told that txv valve was malfunctioning and we got it fixed for $1194 and signed up bi-yearly service. The technician who came in Feb **** did not find anything wrong. The A/C was working and we had no issues. The next routine service was scheduled in August, when the technician asked us if there are any issues with the A/C, we said none. He checked a while and came back and said the compressor has gone bad and it will stop working anytime. After he left, we noticed that A/C was not working. We were surprised that the unit which was working until the technician came all of a sudden stopped working. Our previous unit worked for 15 years before we had a problem. The unit is only 4+ years old and it has been unpleasant experience with this unit and with Elite AC, not sure whether faulty unit was installed in the first place OR sub-standard installation. Elite AC refused to send another technician for second opinion even after our repeated requests. Instead, they said either replace the compressor or get another unit, and they will not entertain any other requests from us. Their customer support personnel were very rude. They know that A/C is critical in hot summer weather and take advantage of the situation. Never fall for their lowest quote, it is just a money trap, unethical practice. They will request you to sign the city inspection wavier, never do that.

We replaced your unit well over 4 years ago. The zone board replaced months later had nothing to do with the unit replacement. Issues that you had last year and issues you are having this year have nothing to do with your installation. You cant place blame on our company since we are not the manufacturer. Sending another technician to tell you the exact same thing the previous technician told you is not only a waste of your time, but a non inefficient way for us to manage our work load. As you stated its very hot outside and we are doing our best to help people in need of relief. Since you are under a maintenance contract you are entitled to significant savings in cost for repairs. We are more than willing to honor our obligations to you to provide those discounts for ************. Again we are not the manufacturer and can't have blame placed on us for mechanical failures. Please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

Thank you to Elite Ac and their team! Elite was able to help me resolve an ongoing issue I was having with my air conditioner 2 other companies tried selling me brand new systems. Elite gave me a free second opinion and found that I could repair the system for a few hundred dollars. I have had no issues since they made the ********** signed up for a maintenance service contract with them. They are the only company I trust and will be recommending them to anyone who needs ac service.

So our A/C went out this morning after getting it installed on 12/2/20 from who we thought was Elite A/C LLC( they showed up in their ********** I called the company they had no record of it. We had a receipt of what we paid, the warranty paperwork and the permit information. I was able to get an appointment with them fast and got a confirmation through email. I was willing to pay the service fee that they informed me of. Shortly after, the office manager, *******, calls and tells me since they are taking legal action against the past employee they can't service my unit now. I have worked in this industry and know that employees have done this on the side. But I would make it right by trying to keep the company name in good standing by servicing them. I understand the situation they are in, but they could still service our home, especially since the registration has there name on the warranty. I told them how disappointed I was and thought others should know that's how they decided to handle this situation. Shortly after I get a call back from the office manager ******* saying she spoke to her boss about it and if I left a review that they would take legal action against me! After that I told her we should not talk unless we have proper representation present. I just thought my story should be told to others so you can be aware of how business is handled with Elite A/C LLC. I did call other companies and was told they are supposed to service us after I told the story. We ended up using Mid ******* A/C and got great customer service and now have our unit working within a couple hours.

This person knowingly had side work done by a former employee. She has never contacted us until yesterday we have emails proving so and recorded phone calls where she admits that she has never spoken to us until yesterday. She knowingly hired this employee to do a side job for her which is illegal. Her frustration should be taken out on that person who will not take her calls and not Elite who has never had any engagement with her. She cant expect us to make anything right where she and the former employee knowingly engaged in illegal activity. Elite plans on taking full legal action against the former employee. Elite did nothing wrong a homeowner who closes side deals knows what they are doing is wrong and cant expect the company whos good name is being slandered because she cant get service for something we had nothing to do with. We will be providing the BBB receipts she received by the former employee and can provide recorded phone calls by this homeowner as well as emails where she admits she never had any engagement with us.

Elite charged me 3 times the service fee because they claim they had to send 2 people to do a service call. Triple the cost for double the people.... There should have not been any service fee as they advertise, especially since they installed the ac unit 2 years ago. Then they misdiagnosed the problem as a capacitor, changed it out and it did not fix the problem. When they returned, they did not charge for the service call but charged 2 hours labor to see what the issue was. They claimed many parts (under warranty) needed replacing and the labor was going to be $1480 !We had another company come out for a second opinion and found that NONE of those items needed replacement. The ONE technician (not two) made some other adjustments on the unit and ALL IS GOOD WITH THE ac UNIT!. Even after explaining why the service fees were unfounded, the owner did nothing to make compromise. I had a.2 home account with them. For 5 years. Now they lost both of them. If I were you, I'd make sure. you get a second opinion when considering Elite

******************, you are not really stating facts. You were charged a service call fee 1 time because you were out of your labor warranty. The first trip we found that your capacitor was bad which we sent you a picture of what the technicians multimeter was reading to prove so. We again came out a few days later and found the *** was bad the technician explained to you that because of the difference in cost it would be best to warranty out the coil because it may be oil logged due to the *** failing. We adjusted the cost to much less than the price you are claiming, but we are sure you wont let everyone know that. You are more than welcome to send us an invoice of repairs the other company did or said were not needed in case ************** did make an error. As far as having to send out 2 technicians you have a roof top unit which requires a 30 foot ladder to reach we have certain safety protocols in place to keep our technicians as well as homeowners safe. If we are guilty of sending 2 technicians out because of our safety protocols than we apologize but safety isn't something we are willing to compromise on.

Outstanding job from the guys at Elite!!! From dealing with the office staff to schedule them to come out to give me an estimate on replacing my system. To the sales man named *** * install crew ************* They were my 4th and final estimate to replace my system *** not only gave me a price that was THOUSANDS cheaper than the other companies I called, he didnt try to use any high pressure tactics. Our system was running and cooling so we werent pressed to replace we took our time and heard the companies out to see what they had to offer. Elite blew everyone away with not only price but level of service received. I am going to be recommending them from here in out.

My air conditioner was running, but no air. I called Elite A/C.The soonest they could get someone here was 3 days. other companies were the same so I allowed Elite to come and check it out. the tech came hrs. late, looked at my A/C said I needed a part, went to his van. I never seen any of the parts taken out or replaced, though they sent pictures of the part before and after. The tech did not tell me how much the part was or asked permission to replace the part. It cost $235.00 which was not unreasonable. When he left he told me he would send me an estimate for a new A/C. 3 weeks later my A/C stopped working.I called Elite and told them. I said I may just need some FREON, they said they didn't have any FREON and could not get FREON since 2010.They said they would send out someone the next day to give me an estimate for a new A/C. I said I didn't want the same guy because I though he was sketchy. They said he was their best tech. I told her I would think about it and she hung up on **** called another A/C company who said I would be 4 days before they could come out and after I told them what happened with Elite, they told me they have FREON (?) and He did me the favor of coming out the next morning. Everything turned out fine. Because of other scam situations with A/C companies and mostly because we do not know much about air conditioning, it is hard to trust these companies.and they should take extra precautions not to let these doubts take hold. I'm sure this tech was the best they had but he (and all tech that come to your home)should make sure that they have your permission to do the work that needs to be done.

***** we appreciate the feedback however, when we listened back to your initial phone call you stated you wanted a "tune up" when the dispatcher asked if the unit was running you said yes and that you just thought you needed freon which is a common assumption when someones system isn't cooling. The dispatcher told you that you need to set up a service call if the system isn't cooling. We dispatched ***** a service technician with 25 years experience he determined you had a bad capacitor and replaced the part. In regards to the freon you wanted our office explained to you that we no longer carry R22 which has been banned by the *** since 2020 due to the negative impact it has had on the environment. With that said the company you called out to charge your system more than likely used 407C which is used by some companies as a substitute for R22. We do not recommend using that in a system mixing it with R22 because it would potential ruin your compressor and we would not want to do that to our customers. We apologize if you feel like you didn't receive the service you wanted we hope we can earn your business in the future. If you would like a comfort advisor out to come out and give you a quote please do not hesitate to call us.

Their business practice is shady at best. Not ethical and cover up their mistakes and quick to blame owner and other issues but not their own. I had a brand new unit installed which stopped working less then a day and I ended up paying another $1,200 so I can have ** in my upstairs. Here is my letter to them to see they will step up and do the right thing...but nope, they basically told me to go jump in the lake. You can see how their story kept on changing. Do not use them. Their are many other reputable A/C companies in Jax. I'm sure they will counter this complaint with their own story but I have their own reports, notes, and texts that says other wise... you be the judge. After I sent this letter, no one ever bother to respond to me. Months went by and I get a call on Sunday..yes, Sunday....apparently they have a girl that goes behind their installation and start pushing/charging for additional work. Threating homeowners that unless you do this, your warranty is voided and permits cannot be closed out. They are trying to tell me that their survey picture (picture that they took initially to price the work) shows that I need to now replace breaker and btw they have a sister company that can replace the break at additional charge...really? You couldn't tell me that upfront? And conveniently you have a electrical company of your own that does this work? What a shame. Elite A/C ************************************************** Re: Faulty New A/C installation ****************************************************** Date: June 21, 2021 As you are aware, we have been dealing with a faulty A/C unit that was installed by Elite AC, beginning less than 12 hrs after its installation on 6/16/21. Elite AC is placing blame on a storm power surge for its faulty A/C unit installation. However, the timeline and explanation of your technician indicates otherwise, and it should be concluded that improper wiring of low voltage/ loose wire in the unit has created arc fault in the system, which created this mess. Timeline and explanation as follow:6/7/21 Elite AC surveyed and documented existing units/conditions for pricing up new unit. Note that all were in working order, including thermostat.6/16/21 New unit installation was completed/installed by 2pm.6/17/21 Overnight, my wife noticed that something was wrong with the unit. Loud clicking noise from the side of condenser. Here is a text message from my wife stating concerns. See date stamped on text. 6/17/21 Elite Tech showed up around 1pm to look at the issue. Tech told my wife that there is loose connection in the unit where thermostat connection is and is rattling/making contact w/ unit. See text below 6/17/21 Elite tech, after telling my wife what he saw and working on the problem on the compressor side, he wrote down a completely different cause of the problem. Switching blame to a loose wire in the thermostat. Note that this thermostat was perfectly normal/all wires properly installed. This is evident from Elite ACs own existing survey. Notes: Found loose compressor wire inside the existing thermostat it was making contact with the unit what was just loose enough for the unit to be turning on and off here up late and fast it was losing continuity due to it not being pushed inside the thermostat completely from whoever installed the thermostat in the past The house was cooling when I arrived the problem was the compressor was clicking in and out repetitively due to the loose wire caused by whoever installed the thermostat before we did the install 6/17/21 5pm, new technician from Elite showed up. Found multiple problem, including a fried thermostat and a bad blower motor, in addition to replacing contactor. Here is his notes:Notes: Need to replace blower motor as well Thermostat was shorted as well Isolated issue after I replaced thermostat and the contactor. Took reversing valve and contactor as well as the fan G terminal out of the circuit Added the reversing valve and contactor and condenser ran. As soon as the fan wire was given 24v the thermostat resets into delay. Calling carrier in the morning when they open. Will let customer know when we can return 6/18/*******, technician replaced blower motor. However found that low voltage wires are burned also. They are now blaming storm-caused damage. I will remind you that no storm hit near my house overnight. I have plenty of other items in the house (second A/C unit, pool pump, garage doors, etc.) that all have no issues. I was told someone will call me. However, no one reached out to me. Here is his note:Notes: Replaced thermostat Replaced blower that was shorted System online and running with an issue. Voltage drop for yellow and Orange outside makes the reversing valve and the contactor Chatter. Tried to use a spare wire but green had 24v and wasnt hooked up to anything High voltage sent to low voltage during the short from the storm caused damage. Wireless thermostat ran to outdoor condenser is necessary to have system operate correctly. Contacting husband with wireless thermostat repair option for 1200$. 6/18/21 5pm, Finally got hold of operations manager, ******* (?) at 5pm. He mentioned that cause is due to power surge and will require running a new low voltage wire, hardwire $800 or remote module $1200. I told him we have been without A/C since we installed this new unit, kids are sleeping on the couch in the living room. We need to get the ** turned on. He called back and said that the remote module was ordered and should replace by Monday mid-morning.6/21/21 Module is being installed. We installed a brand new unit that hasnt worked for going 5 days now. We are being forced to run new wires or install new remote module to get the ** running that should never have happened if proper installation was done by Elite AC. Elite AC trapped us with no option other then to pay for this new module, or never get our ** back up and running. We all make mistakes, and errors happen even with as much training as you provide to your people. I am a reasonable person and will understand such and will work with Elite AC to make it right. We believed that we hired a reputable, trustworthy ** company in ************. Please make it right. We expect that Elite AC to refund the $1,200.Please reply back to me by no later then June 23, 2021. Thanks.

      Elite AC, LLC Response

      10/26/2021

This customer was given an estimate in writing - which they signed so, Elite AC assumes they read the contract prior to signing. The reason this is important is on line 4 of this contract - it is clearly stated that home owner is responsible for the change out of breakers to meet code requirement - it also provides our sister companies contact information. This is valid because Elite AC can pull permits for Mechanical and GNH can pull permits for electrical. We attempt to follow the rules associated with city/county building codes & permitting. Also, on this signed contract under warranty coverage it is stated that Elite AC does not warranty the low voltage wiring for thermostat if not changed at time of install. Elite AC would also like to point out that this customer was not with out AC for 5 days as he claims - we installed the new unit 06/16/2021 - returned 06/17/2021 - this customer did contact our office and we sent a tech out immediately to address the issue. Since June there have been no issues. We did contact this customer to set up a pre-inspection as part of finalizing the permit on the property - at this time our technician was told to leave the property so, he wasn't able to complete his visual inspection. The open permit has nothing to do with a warranty on the system and this was not stated to this customer - it will however effect future permits on his property if not closed out properly. Elite AC clearly states in out contract the things not included in a "basic" install because we know some things are out side of of control and our scope of work - such as power surges and electrical. We understand any additional cost can be frustrating and attempt to be very straight forward hence why everything is in writing so everyone can understand what is included and what is not included. Thank you for taking the time to read our response but Elite AC has done everything by code and as written in our signed contract.
