I hired the company with the owner coming to my house and receiving a contract on 30 April 2021. I paid a $1000 as a retainer with promises of dumpster delivery within 2 weeks. I have rescheduled no less than (4) times since (June, August, November and December of 2021) with each time being promised a time that comes and goes with no follow up communication. I requested a refund on 19 January both via text (will not answer call) and going to their website at ******************************. Due to no response I have no recourse but file a complaint. I do not wish to deal with this company any long and still would like my deposit back.Initial Complaint

We are listing our house to sell and needed a driveway repair. **** ********* showed up and gave us quote lower than others and demanded 1000 up front. He agreed to do all work right away as we were on a time schedule. That was the last time we saw him. It has been a series of no call no show and multiple excuses. It took him less than 24 hours to cash our check, and no show for two weeks. We should have done our homework prior to hiring this guy because once we googled his name we found multiple business names, addresses, phone numbers, complaints....in fact this guy lit up like a Christmas tree on google for shady illegal business practices.He was even featured on our local news site first coast news "I'm telling Ken." We told him not to show up at our property and requested a refund. He stated that we signed a contract and refunds are issued in 60 days. We did not sign a contract. We will not be waiting 60 days for a refund. This guy is a con artist and a scammer. He needs to stop stealing from people. In addition to reporting him to all the proper channels, we will be filing criminal charges. He has no legal authority to keep our money for work that was never done.Business response

There is no reason for customer to cancel out a legal binding contract when customer has been informed that I have caught SARS CO-V2 Covid-19 and could not possibly work. Symptoms I am having was serious lung complications and barely could breath. Lung Inflammation. Being severely tired and I lost 25 lbs already. Myself being severely ill during the time after signing of the date of the proposal. I needed time to recover from this and the customer could not understand this. I could not work due to Covid and the customer wanted me to work when such a serious illness infected me. Customers from the past is in the past and have no business with the contract that was signed. It is not right for this canceling out of this contract.Business response
