This review is for the ********, ** location. *************************************** Had an item (a small dirt bike) shipped to ** as a Christmas gift for my son. The item was shipped via ***** from this Going Postal location and ended up arriving badly damaged. Metal forks on the bike were bent beyond repair. I reached out to the location and spoke with **** about the damage. She knew the package was initially shipped to ** from Amazon and inquired if the damage could have happened during that trip. I informed her it didnt. Upon receiving the item from Amazon it was fully assembled and I have photos proving that. Unfortunately due to covid, I was not able to travel up to ** and gift the present so I asked family to disassemble and ship it back to TX. This is where Going Postal came into play. After informing **** that I can prove it was not Amazons fault given it was fully assembled without any damage and when I received it in **, there was irreparable damage to the point it could not be assembled, she still pushed to file the claim though Amazon - even though it wasnt Amazons fault - which is a tad dishonest if you ask me. After insisting it wasnt Amazon, it was Going Postal she finally stated she would be willing to refund the shipping cost of $150 + $100 since that is (the minimum coverage) since we didnt purchase any additional coverage. Just for perspective - the bike costs $591. So $250 didnt sound like an awesome deal but we accepted given no additional insurance was purchased. She filed a claim with ***** and we waited nearly a month. Finally a check arrived in the amount of $169. I asked what about the other $80? She proceeded to tell me thats all ***** paid. $100 for the insurance and 69 for *****s cost for the shipping. When I informed her that wasnt what we agreed upon she somehow acted like she wasnt responsible for the handling of our item, that it was ****** ***** may have ultimately shipped it but #1, every business must take a certain level of responsibilityfor who they partner with. I was doing business with Going Postal, not ***** directly. #2, I should be getting back the dollar amount that was agreed upon. She did tell me she wasnt going to be refunding anything from their end and it was purely a ***** pay out. The vibes I got from **** during this whole ordeal were not good. Very poor customer service, dishonest, poor communication and ultimately I ended up losing a lot of money - not even receiving the lower dollar amount promised.
