On Thursday, August 24, 2023 I returned a loaner car and picked up our car. In the backseat of the car I left some very important papers - 5 death certificates (my grandmother passed away on 08/11/2023), Foresters Insurance Claim form, a cellphone in a self-addressed envelope back to asurion, and a power of attorney form for small estate. I forgot the paperwork in the loaner car and called back to the dealership. The car was in use by another individual, but they called and the papers were returned. On Monday, August 28, 2023 at about 6:00 p.m. I returned to Fields Cadillac to retrieve my documents and they could not be found. I was told the documents would be available the next day as they were probably locked in the cashier's office. Upon calling on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 to ask about the paperwork, I was told that it was never retrieved. There was very sensitive information that could affect my personal privacy. The dealership is not helpful at all. Someone, somewhere has my personal information and they are not concerned. Yet they told me the paperwork was secured. If I do not retrieve that cellphone I will have to pay $1,000.
