This business showed up at my parents home unsolicited and offered to lay down excess pavement in their driveway. My dad is in his middle 80's and my mother late 70's. Their driveway was not in need of any repair whatsoever. This company never provided an estimate of any kind to my dad prior to doing any type of work. Once I learned of this fiasco, I asked my dad how much was it suppose to be for the work. He recalled the gentleman telling him around $800.00. This company charged my dad $11,600.00!! I was given the name and number for Jeremy J*******. When I spoke with Jeremy, i requested a copy of the contract my dad would have signed. All I received in return was a generic receipt that reads paid in full. There is nothing that indicates how much was poured, what kind of mix are they using, etc... When I spoke to Jeremy he did not recall any of this stuff. I spotted this company doing work at other homes in the area. This occurred back in February of this year. The number on their card is not available from my calling area. My dad just happened to have the phone number listed above for Jeremy. There was only a 30 day warranty for the work and the base work that they did prior to pouring the asphalt is surely not going to hold up. There was gravel in place previously and based on how quickly they did the work they surely did not remove it all. The address listed on the card is 221 North Hogan Street, Jacksonville, FL. 32202. My parents live on their social security and whatever money they have in the bank. This company is a fraud and they took a large chunk of their savings. There was a story done about these types of companies shortly after learning of what had occurred. I also reported this to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office but was told there was nothing they could do.
