      I moved from an apartment that is being ran by the rental agent " Spectrum Realty here in ************ *** I moved out on 6/30/23 returning the keys etc. They deducted from my $650 deposit with was given to previous owner 9 years prior to property being sold and Spectrum Realty becoming leasing agent. They took all of the money accept $125 supposingly for damages when there were actually NO damages but this is what slum landlords do. They informed me that I have $125 in refunds from my deposit. They apparently said they mailed it the first week of July2023. The post office and Spectrum Realty, no one can tell me where my check is. I have made several visits to post office and Spectrum Realty speaking with " ******* " who keep telling me they haven't recieved it back. I have asked them to please reissue me another check as it has been close to 60 days. She informed me that their bank allows up to 120days(6months) in which I've never heard of this allotted time for any bank, 6 months is quiet lengthy I'd say. I have repeatedly asked them to reissue me another check. I informed them to put a " stop payment " on it and reissue. ******* asked me am I willing to pay the $75 stop check fee. I informed her that is NOT my responsibility to pay such fee. The law in the state of ******* requires them to return the remaining deposit in a certain time frame in which I mentioned to her, that's when she asked " are you going to pay the $75 stop payment charges. I have been calling back and forth about this issue and want it resolved!! I moved out 6/30/23 and yet to recieve my remaining deposit. Granted the Postal Service has misplaced or lost the check, but just how long does it take for them to reissue me another check. This company is known to be a terrible company to deal with and I'm definitely having to agree. I have asked them repeatedly to stop payment on lost check and reissue me another check for my $125 deposit refund. Why should I have to pay $75 canceled check fee for a $125 refund check? Geez

      It has been explained to the former Tenant that she must communiacte with the Tenant. Attached is Tracking Receipt showing that the check was sent within the statutory time frame and that the **** have been trying to deliver and asking the Tenant to Schedule a Redelivery. We provided the Tenant with the tracking number multiple times and explained to her the situation. If she would take resposnibilty for herself and go to the post office, she could get this resolved. Should the check come back to us, as you can see from the attached it has not, we will notify the Tenant. Alternatively, she can pay the stop payment fee, but we cannot issue a new check knowing that she can then go to the post office and collect the outstanding check.

      We have done everything per ******* Statue and Landlord Tenant Law. 

      We have also explained everything above stated, multiple times to the Tenant. 

      We categorically deny any negative accusations, which are false and slanderous.

      I am rejecting this response because: The company has totally lied in the response back to you. They have done nothing to resolve this but told me that (I) could pay a cancelation fee in order for them to cancel and replace my check. Why would they say " the tenant may go and cash check". They do not want to pay the cancelation fee through their bank, that is why she said IF I wanted to cancel the check that I haven't received then I'd have to pay the $75 which I am appalled that she even said that to me. SOME of the staff here at this slum lord company is incompetent and it shows. I sure your response came from ****** whom they need to replace asap but hey this is what happens when you're having to deal with such.  I will not stop pursuing my return deposit. I have went to the **** with the exact " tracking number " which gives me the exact info that she "smartly" attached in their response. She didn't attached the one that says " returned to sender" When I asked ****** of they got it back, she stated NO. I don't know why they attached this tracking number bc all of the latest  tracking shows it returned to sender, but yet she says they don't have it.  I was informed I'd have to wait 90 days before they could cancel and reissue which is a ridiculously long time. I can't think of a bank that requires 90 day wait.  The only thing the post office shows is that it was sent back to sender.  Again, this company is very difficult to deal with!!

      Attached you will find my screenshots from the ****** ****** ******* with the LAST UPDATE from the delivery of my postal delivery however, I did recieve a TEXT message (because that's how I have it set up for communication ) that they were RETURNING to sender. Yes, apparently they tried to deliver once, I wasn't home but my daughter was home and  states that Postal service never came to door for signature and I even checked in Postal box and it wasn't there.  Postal service can not locate the letter either.  It said it was returning the letter like 2 weeks ago, they should have it back for sure.  Yet, there pushing me to pay the $75 to cancel and reprint another check or I can wait out the 120 days in which I first thought was 90 days.  That's a very long time to await for your money and I have never here if 120 days. In the latest response from Company (Spectrum), she lied so much (MULTIPLE) times stating that she informed me multiple times blah blah blah. I only spoke to Spectrum 1×(ONCE)!!!. I even waited a week or two before I even contacted the BBB. GEEZ, THE LIES PEOPLE TELL! I also RECORD all of my phone conversations when dealing with business.  I'm not sure how to attached but feel free to reach out to me so I can get it to you.  This is exactly why I record my conversations over the phone.  Thank you.

      The tenant has stated in her rejection that she is providing screen shots and additional trascking information, but there is nothing attached to the email. She is also misquoting our response in her rejection. If the tenant has proof from the **** that she has been in contact with them or that they have confirmed it has been returned to sender, we will be happy to consider it, but at this point she has provided no documentation to counter the documentation from the ****, which we provided, not has she demonstated that she has done her part to go to the **** and resolve the issue.

      Hi there, I'm totally done with this very unprofessional " leasing agent ". They are only responding down playing my responses. Apparently they hadn't even really mailed my check in the first place.  I finally recieved my refund after they stole most of it. I will surely make sure I voice my opinion about this company if I'm ever asked or I can post it on all platforms to STAY AWAY!! from these slum lords! I see they already have plenty of negative reviews ??
