Hello im a florida resident with an issue i feel needs light shed on. I visited this restaurant on Friday October 14th. As i paid my bill in the amount of $77.40 i realized that I been charged for a extra $8.00 drink. I notified my waitress to the error and she printed me out a new receipt for the amount of $75.25. She swiped my card twice and i notified her that 2 charges instead of 1 had been made. She assured me that the amount of of $75.25 would be taken from my account. 4 days later as i check my bank statement, not only was i charged for the original $77.40 but the $75.25 had been changed to $90.25. I called the place of business in order to resolve this issue and management was not only rude the phone was hung up in my face. So on top of them stealing from customers they're defrauding card companies around the world by printing a receipt for one amount but at a later taking a completely different amount. I feel this company needs to be investigated for i have already contacted the BBB as well. Attached i have the corresponding documents.Business response

Good Afternoon,
I was the manager that spoke to Mr. ********. From the moment I answered the phone Mr. ******** was extremely upset. He told me that he had already contacted his lawyer and that not only were we stealing but we were defrauding Credit Card companies. I looked into the two charges. The server accidently swiped his card on the wrong tables check. It was for a very similar amount. All though we do not take this error lightly it was an honest mistake. Immediately when I saw the two charges I called Mr. ******** I told him I had already refunded his card for the highest amount the $90.25. The reason for the check now totaling the $90.25 was that he included a tip. Mr. ******** said I had no right to refund his card without his permission.
Here at the Palms we do out best to make the situation right and strive to do something extra to show that we really care. He was so rude and his accusations were offensive. He never let me get a word in. I would have been more than happy to refund both charges but he continued to be rude even after I refunded the higher charge.
We are firm believers that we can not grow unless we know where we have failed and The server did make very serious mistake but she told Mr. ******** about it as soon as it happened.
