      Golden Hammer Roofing put a new roof on my home in February 2024. I paid them my insurance deductible and the rest of my reroof was covered by my insurance. Golden Hammer received all my funds, but has misappropriated them and not paid the supply manufacturer for the materials used on my roof. That manufacturer has now put a $6,800 lien on my home, and the owner of Golden Hammer (** ********) has closed his business and intends to file bankruptcy. Now I am unable to close on the sale of my home (we were planning to move into a safer school district before the start of school for my son and had been actively touring new homes). His business also promised a warranty on our roof that will of course no longer be honored. This has happened to "more than a dozen" homeowners because of him, according to this news article. *********************************************************************************-says-customers-will-be-made-whole-after-being-hit-with-liens-from-unpaid-suppliers/ I am only aware of the lien because a former employee of his called me to blow the whistle, not because ******** informed me, as he says he did in this article.

      On April 1, 2024 Golden Hammer deposited my check #**** for $5,953.00 to replace our roof. Half down now and half down when they complete the work in April. They do not answer the door to their business nor answer their phones. They took our money and no work is done.

      On 04/23/24, the owner ** called me from ************ to my cell phone and stated he is waiting on funds and he is planning to refund my money I paid and ** asked me to give him a couple of weeks to do so. As of today, I have not received anything.

      I h*** not.  I am still waiting form fund from insurance co that owe me for past projects.  I will let you know when the bill has been paid and get the lien waiver from ***.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The problem is the supplier has not been paid and has fil** a lien on my house.  ** has promis** to pay the supplier but has not. I feel he will try to right it off in bankruptcy and I will still owe over $8,000.00 to his supplier. His company was paid in full.
