IApril 2023 I requested an estimate to "repair" leaks in my roof. When the salesperson came he checked the roof (which had been done previously by other companies and was informed) the whole process according to him was to take about an hour. During this process he "sweet talked" the whole process and insisted the whole roof should be replace for my benefit. I asked a number of times for an estimate for just a repair. He insisted repeatedly it should be replaced and they would work to get the whole roof replaced and would contact the insurance company. I repeatedly told him this was already done and I just wanted to make the repair. He never gave me a repair estimate or a written estimate. After hours of him telling me how nice he was and he would do me no harm, if they could not help me he would not hold me to a contract which in order to get them to do any work I must sign. So ignorantly I signed. What a mistake. I did not receive a hard copy of the contract he sent me one page in a message. found out later there were 2 pgs. After I receive it I sent him an email stating I did not think this was a good fit for me, as there were fees and costs I could not afford. He went into his speech again via email how he just wanted to help etc. I sent no reply as this was not going to work for me. After about 4-5 days I repeated I could not afford to have the whole roof replaced. I told him this several times during his inspection visit and also told him I did not want to do any loans to pay for a roof. All I wanted from the beginning was to have the repairs made, very simple. He also told me if I spend any of the money it would be insurance fraud. I made it very clear the whole time the insurance company did not allow enough to replace the roof and other repairs that were added into the inspections by the people who came before him; so I just wanted a repair.Now since I told him I wanted to cancel the company has requested over $5,000 I am the widow of a*** on ***Initial Complaint

Date of Roof installation - 12/15/2021 Amount paid - $30,276.61 I had Florida Roof and Solar Contractors install a roof for me on 12/15/2021. Since the installation we have had 6 leaks in 5 different rooms in the house. Every time it rains, another leak and stain (which I have pictures) appears. When the company decides to respond which is usually a month after many messages left, they send a person who climbs on my roof, says the roof was not installed properly, does a 5 minute patch job and then leaves. Needless and sad to say this has happened 4 times. I am reaching outside of the company for help now because the company has not responded to any of my or my wife's messages for the last 2 leaks. A roof that cost over 30k dollars which leaks and has the potential to cause mold in the ceiling is unacceptable. As a 3 time combat veteran, I had three core values instilled in me which is Honor, Courage, and Commitment. None of these values were demonstrated or displayed by this company. If my roof is not fixed and refunded I will seek legal action.
