After looking at a travel trailer on ******** Marketplace on May 11, 2024, I contacted the posted seller, ******** *** and asked questions regarding the camper. She referred me to talk to her brother first, and then her husband and provided their phone numbers. On Monday evening, I spoke with Mitchell, the husband, regarding the camper. It was a 2018 ********* ***** with an asking price of $7999. He stated that it had minor wear anf tear and when asked if there were any leaks, he stated "NO." I informed him that I would drive to Jacksonville on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 and be there when he opened. On Tuesday, I left Pensacola at 4a and drove directly to ******** Marina & RV. I had forgotten about time change so I phoned ******** and let him know that I would be there before noon. He said that would be fine. I arrived on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 close to 10:30a where I met ******** and he took me to the camper and stated that it had been completely serviced and that everything worked. I went over the inside and it appeared everything worked properly and the ac was cold. The small table was setup with dishes and silverware and the queen size bed had a comforter and pillows with shams. I examined the roof and around the walls and saw no signs of water leaks as he had stated on the phone. I agreed to put down a deposit in cash in the amount of $2716.86 and would have my credit union overnight the remaining balance of $7,000 the next day, Wednesday, May 29, 2024. On Wednesday, the credit union overnighted the check and not Tuesday eve as it was to late. I contacted ******** when I found out this information and told him the check wouldn't arrive until Thursday, May 30, 2024. He informed me that he would charge me a late fee for not receiving the balance as verbally stated. I've never heard of anything like that ever. As a result, I went to my bank and withdrew $7,000 cash and phoned him and told him I was on my way to get the camper. I was so angry and realized I was dealing with a business owner with unfair practices. Additionally, he had the purchase agreement listed my deposit as nonrefundable and the final payment as nonrefundable. How can a business sell RV's with no refund?Customer response

All the paperwork provided had the company name ******* ****** * ** as the place of business. However, the actual property address, the signage on the property states ******** ****** * **. So, does this mean they are operating illegally as well? I don't know what to do to move forward. This company is scamming people and I totally regret my purchase and the issues not disclosed. Please advice.
