BVD septic was hired at closing to put a new septic tank in our backyard. They began the process on September 11th, 2023. They dug up half of our backyard and when I arrived home they suddenly took off and left. As the days went buy the hole they dug collected water and it sat for a month. They didnt come back until October 16th, 2023 and they drove over our front yard repeatedly and dumped outsourced dirt against our fence. During this time they sent all phone calls to voicemail and never answered unless I called from a private number. Once again they left and didnt come back until December 20th, 2023 and left an advertisement on our front door but didnt even touch the unfinished job. Finally BVD septic called us back and asked us to sign off on an inspection that hadnt been done because it would speed up the process. We refused to falsify legal paperwork and then they refused to answer our calls again. We requested and received our city property lines and learned they put the new septic tank on a city easement. Finally on November 2, 2023 they came back and put the dirt on top of the new septic tank and we got emailed the private inspection and somehow they passed, but when we looked on our cameras no one came out that day. We looked at it and realized the top of the septic tank wasnt even bolted down and left completely open. In addition the piping is completely cracked and is leaking all over our yard. Im addition to all of this they promised us grass pallets to cover the new septic and we waited so long for the grass that the grass from the surrounding areas started doing the job for them. And they refuse to release the city inspection that was supposedly done, and once again there is no one on our cameras inspecting anything. Please I just want the tank installed correctly and legally. Contact me for photo evidence of all of this.

We built our home in Sept 2018 and our builder decided to use BVD Septic for our septic tank installation. For months we continued to get our main line clogged over and over again. 2 plumbers initially said the junction from the main line to the 2 septic tanks was a T junction when it should have been a Y junction. Thankfully BVD Septic replaced this pipe. However, we continued to get clogs even though we were "babying" the system. Another plumber snaked our system and realized our main line actually travels UP because the septic tanks were buried about 1.5 ft too high, causing occasional clogs. To make matters worse, the septic tanks themselves are uneven and all of our sewage flows into one tank only. In summary, we have been running off of one septic tank, and even then it is too high for proper drainage. Even though we had multiple problems with our system, BVD Septic repeatedly blamed us for the problem and it took years for them to finally change to a Y junction. Now this is thousands of dollars of work to rebury the septic tanks property.

Contracted BVD Septic to replace septic drain field in mid 2021. During the replacement, a BVD Spetic truck hit fence post, bending post, losening cement footer, and bending top rail post. BVD Septic never mention this damage when requesting payment for services. Shortly after paying invoice, breaker for Septic pump started popping. Requested BVD Septic come troubleshoot. Technician found septic pump shorted and stated most likely due to being left connected to a non-weather rated extension cord used outside in rainy weather. While I knew the alarm would need to be replaced to pass inspection, I did not know the septic pump was left connected to an extenstion cord from a job that was supposedly finished except for replacing alarm and getting inspection from city. After the technician diagnosed the problem,  I found out that BVD Septic had electrician go out to run a circuit for the septic outlet. The electrician disconnected all existing sockets powered by this circuit to isolate the septic pump instead of running a new circuit from breaker panel to septic pump outlet, leaving one room with no power to electrical sockets (also never mentioned to me, either contracted electrician or wiring work done). When finally invoiced for alarm replacement, BVD Septic also charged for a new septic pump to replace the one they left connected to a non-weather rated extension cord (which had been replaced a few years before this) in rainy weather and added a charge for the electrician to "run a new circuit to the septic pump. I have sent multiple emails requesting to discuss these issues before paying the bill, but they have refused to respond, not even to tell me no. When calling, I was told I needed to have an electrician go out to run a new circuit to septic pump even though they had already had this work done. They did go as far as placing a lein on my house

That means either the pump, or the alarm, are bad and tripping the breaker.
This will not be warranty, as we only replaced the drainfield and did not mess with the septic/dosing tanks or their components.
Do we have authorization to assess ($130 for the first hour, $95 an hour after that ), and change any parts that may need to be changed?
($472 for alarm, $944 for the pump)

Please note, The 472 and 944 will encompass the trip charge and labor, but if somehow those are not the issue, it will be the labor charge and any other materials we may use.

The tenant just notified me that the septic system is tripping a circuit breaker in the house. Would someone be able to go look at this to see what the issue is?

I did not budget for this, and between this job and the other work I am having done, I have maxed the 20K budget set aside for these two jobs. It would have been nice to learn about this sooner, so will have to wait until next week.

      Thank you,

The health department inspected the system, but will not final it due to the alarm not working. Please give us authorization for $472 to replace the alarm. As long as the pump works, we will just need to replace the alarm.
Please let us know when you'd like us to schedule the alarm change, so that we may get our final on it.

      Thank you,

       ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because: The email provided by the business was in response to having them go out to check the system to find to root cause for the breaker popping. At that point in time (included in the email they sent), the business stated the issue was either the septic pump or alarm. There was no mention or having an electrician go out to perform circuit work, nor was the fact the septic pump was left connected to a non-weather rated extension cord instead of being reconnected to the weather rated electrical receptacle already in place (original receptacle) as work was presumably complete aside from replacing the septic alarm).

At no point in time did the business ever contact me to authorize an electrician to do any work, nor have they ever addressed why the septic pump was left connected to the extension cord when the weather at the time was extremely wet or the damage to the fence and fence post they caused while performing work on my property.

In fact, aside from resending the invoice for additional costs, they have made no attempt to answer any questions I have asked regarding the follow-up work and additional charges.

      Regards,

Per your email to BVD Septic you had multiple workers on the site at the same time. How did you narrow it down to one contractor?
