Lake Shore Family Fellowship & Jax Stage Lighting July 20, 2023 1. Lake Shore Family Fellowship entered into a contract with Jax Stage Lighting July 9, 2021 in the amount of $16,937.94. Copy of the contract attached. 2. The company contracted to provide and install 24 LED bar fixtures in the church sanctuary, 1 converter, cables and power supply. Contract notes as follows: a. Installation, programming, documentation and training included. b. Removal of existing house lights by others. c. Electrical installation/wiring by others. d. Price is firm for 30 days. e. Drawings provided within 5 days of receipt of order & deposit. f. Delivery/installation 3 weeks from receipt of order & deposit. g. Package discount included. h. As built documentation provided within 5 days of project completion. i. Rental of JSL scaffolding included – will be deducted if a lift is used. j. Rental of lift by the church (if needed) 3. Our dispute is that the company received and deposited our deposit of $15,865.01, and has delivered nothing – no materials, no services – on the contract. Dozens of telephone, text and email contacts have been made to the business and promises have been consistently received, to include the delivery of a partial refund in the form of a $5,000 check, for which the bank could not identify a valid account. Three promises to deliver a cashier’s check have been made without providing same. 4. The business’s project number is 21028-1. 5. Lake Shore Family Fellowship intends to be fully reimbursed. We will not accept material and/or services at this time as the supplier has demonstrated bad faith.Initial Complaint

In august of last year our church paid an almost $20,000 deposit to Jax Stage Lighting for equipment that was to be installed in 3 weeks according to their ETA. Since then they have been unresponsive or full of excuses. They refuse to even discuss a refund so we can go elsewhere. We don’t know what to do. 9 months later we still are out 20grand and have none of the product we ordered. Please help. The attached document does the invoice and the down paymentBusiness response

We completely understand the frustration of this transaction. This is the first time I know of asking for a refund. We will return every dollar that we have received in 30 days from today May 19, 2022. We have asked for the refund on our end today. Please accept our deepest apology for the way this order has taken place. We will send a certified letter with a cashier's check.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
While they are being dishonest about this being the first they’ve heard of a refund(I have emails confirming that), I trust they will follow through with this promise. I cannot thank you enough for your help!
