Called Willis exteriors for a quote and even though I was home they never knocked on the door or rang the ****. I was sent a confusing Email quote for the job with an outrageous price. When I asked ***** to explain the quote, he immediately said he would discount the $1400 job $200 off. Naturally my first question was why didn't give me your best price? I asked him to itemize the costs and he would not. Very arrogant and I guess they don't need the work.

C. is being very disingenuous. I called on the way over and did knock on the door as is our standard. I bid the work he asked for and included a line item for damaged stucco that would need to be repaired before painting. He emailed me to explain the line item. I will lower the price for two seperate phases of work done together but didn't on his proposal because I have had homeowners get snarky about proposed work they didn't request. I was giving him a price break on a job that we have low margins on because of the floor of our labor costs. 'Outrageous price"??, hardly, it was only $200 above our minimum job cost. We are a licensed General Contractor and not a handyman. Our cost of doing business sets our pricing. C. immediately, without knowing anything about me or this company, questioned our integrity, way of doing business, and my own personal integrity. We do not give anyone our cost of the jobs, who does??, and this seemed to upset him. I told him it was best if he found someone else to do his project without being condenscending or rude in any way. Unfortunately he couldn't do the same as he has been insulting in three different e-mails. We pride ourselves on being fair and taking good care of our customers (22 years) and to get a bad review on a project we didn't even get accepted for shows me the lack of character that defines C. : Narcissistic, insulting hiding behind a keyboard, and with no understanding on how other businesses operate. A simple "no thank you" would have sufficed.
