Transaction date 10/13/21 Amount paid $693.23 Service requested: Repair oil leak in engine and advise what would need to be repaired to drive the vehicle a long distance Service provided: Repair oil leak- not sure what else was actually completed I received the vehicle back in worse condition than when i dropped it off. I called the owner, ****, who told me to bring the vehicle back. He and i drove the car a block down the road and he agreed it was not making those noises when i had originally drooped it off. He stated he would look at it and call me back. He did not call me back by the afternoon of the same day. I called him around 1 PM to check the status and he did not answer the first call but did answer my second call. He stated he had called me and left a message as well as having texted me, but i had no missed calls, voicemail or text. He was abrupt on the phone and stated none of the work they did had any effect on the new noises the car was making and that i would now need to spend additional hundreds of dollars to fix things that he never mentioned the first time i brought it in and specifically asked him to look for anything that I would need to fix. He became rude on the phone and would not admit to not having actually called or texted me about the car. When i told him that he himself had said the car was not making the same noises when I originally brought it in, his response was " I was thinking about a different car we were working on." At this point, I have paid nearly $700.00 to have my car in worse shape than when i took it to him for service and he will do nothing to remedy the situation, except charge me more money for things he did not say needed to be fixed the first time around. I request remediation of money i spent As, at this point, I do not trust him to do the job he said he would do and am concerned that he would further damage my vehicle.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because my care is in worse shape than when i took it to the shop and paid for repairs. The shop owner, himself, admitted it was making sounds it had not made when I brough it in then provided false inforamtion about having tried to contact me. If he will not provide any further resolution then there is nothing more to be said. I do not accept his lack of responsibility in this matter and am highly disappointed. I needed to travel to Massachusetts from Florida to help my sister care for her husband who has brain cancer. I asked the shop owner to tell me what needed to be done so that I could drive it long distance. He did not inform me of all repairs needed when i paid for the first repairs and thought my car was fixed. He later told me he was not responsible for the noises the car was making that were evident when i went to pick up the car from the shop's parking lot. This is a horribly dishonest way to conduct business and I am sorry for you that you feel the need to conduct yourself and your business this way.

      Regards,
